Sold- Pending Transfer WW2 Winchester M1 Bavarian Carbine $1900.00
94views•1 week ago
Winchester, M1, Bavarian collectors and lovers. It’s in excellent condition considering its service history.
Early first production fall/winter of ‘42 with all of its original wartime parts serialized match and unique with its post war Bavarian history.
Has the early flip rear peep aperture with type 1 band, high wood stock, oval shaped rear stock cut out for oiler with time correct “IS” stamped original oiler. Retains the original 2 rivot front hand guard. Correct flat top bolt and slide blued as original with push button safety. Winchester proof mark oblong circle plus letter W in top of barrel.
Bavarian rural police issue post war for Landpolizei as stamped into bottom of stock handgrip along with the “Bavarian Rural Police” stamping which would have been on the left side of the receiver (currently ground off and filled in) there but hard to see in pics; which was correct for returning the carbine after service. As is the stamping of the last four digits of serial number marked on to the rear stock, top of bolt and right slide.
Comes with 1 magazine and an old leather euro type sling- unsure if it’s part of the Bavarian history but could be.
Restricted and requires proper transfer. Will consider trades (send what you’re thinking please to simplify) and can ship at actual current costs or wait until cp is back. Happy to share anything further I know on its history.
