This gun is being sold on consignment by Vulcan Gun Refinishing. This one owner gun is the scarce Thompson Center .54 caliber Scout Carbine. Built by T/C, this lightweight carbine is one of their early in-line style guns. Stocked in black walnut this gun has a short, 24" barrel that is rifled with a fast twist to shoot your .54 caliber Maxi balls. This carbine features Thompson Center's QLA (Quick Load Accurizer) feature. The QLA is a relief of the rifling, the first inch of the barrel has no rifling, down in the breech, allowing loads to be easily started and quickly loaded. Weighing in at 7.0 pounds the rifle has a trigger reach of 14-3/4" and is well suited for today's average to larger size shooter. Very good original blue, and action works well. When it ships it will have a ramrod, sling, speed loader and approximately 100 54cal maxi balls.
