Savage Model 12 Benchrest in 6.5x284 Norma Dual Ported 3 screw target action. Savage Target accu-trigger. This thing is very light and adjustable up to 2.5lbs. Currently set at about 12oz. Winchester Model 1894 38-55 Ref #1040. Early 4 digit serial number. Dated 1895. This Winchester is a lever action, sporting rifle, octagon barrel, full mag. Dated 1895 Stock is very good – good. Small tang crack 1” long, and a minor chip gone at tang. Forearm has an app. 2” crack and a few very minor cracks. The stock has typical bang marks. Finish appears original or period correct. Original metal recoil pad fits well. Barrel is 26” long with sights intact, rear sight may have been replaced at one time, again period correct. Bore has black powder corrosion but it’s clean now and has rifling top to bottom. Bluing appears original and app. 75-85% throughout. There are bumps and scratches on metal and evidence of minor surface rusting. Screws have been used, but in very good shape. The lever functions well, safety checks out and the trigger pull, and drop are good. Firing pin is evident and protrudes when pushed on. Ejector is intact and tight, and magazine follower functions correctly. Overall, I grade this firearm as very good and should be fully functional. I did not test with snap caps or fire. Only reasonable offers are considered. Low ball offers will not be responded to. Trades in person only. Winchester Model 1892 25-20, Ref #1038 This Winchester is a lever action, sporting rifle, round barrel, full mag. Dated 1916 Stock is excellent, appears original. A few marks, and very small chip at tang, and butt stock was drilled for a sling swivel at one time. Original metal recoil pad fits well. Barrel is 24” long with sights intact. The read elevator sight may have been changed out at one time. Bore is typical dark with some corrosion from black powder, rifle is showing all the way. Bluing is throughout at about 75%. All screws appear to have never been touched. The lever functions well, safety checks out and the trigger pull, and drop are good. Firing pin is evident and protrudes when pushed on. Ejector is intact and tight, and magazine follower functions correctly. Overall, I grade this firearm as good – very good and should be fully functional. I did not test with snap caps or fire. Winchester Model 1894 Ref #1041. Early five digit serial number. Dated 1897.  This Winchester is a lever action, sporting rifle, octagon barrel, full mag. Dated 1897 Stock is excellent, appears original. A few marks. Original metal recoil pad fits well. Barrel is 26” long with sights intact. The read sights are intact and appear original. Bore is very nice, no obvious corrosion, does not appear to have ever seen black powder. Rifling throughout. Bluing is 40-50%. There are bumps and scratches on metal expected on a plus 125-year-old firearm. The drivers side receiver has a few light scratches and bangs. Screws have been used but are still usable. There is one on the loading port side that may have been a replacement. The lever functions well, safety checks out and the trigger pull, and drop are good. Firing pin is evident and protrudes when pushed on. Ejector is intact and tight, and magazine follower functions correctly.  Overall, I grade this firearm as good and should be fully functional. Factory wood is very good at 98%, stock appears to have been varnished. Bluing is near zero on receiver, barrel and magazine app. 75%. Screws all look excellent. Original sights fully intact. Winchester Model 1886 38-56 W.C.F. Reference #1034 Rare Winchester Model 1886 Sporting Rifle in 38-56 W.C.F. with 26" octagon barrel and full length magazine lever action dated 1888. The factory wood appears near perfect, there is a professionally repaired crack at heel of crescent butt plate. Crescent butt plate is perfect, and fits butt stock perfect. All screws are near perfect. All metal case hardened, looks and appears original at about 50%, there are no noticeable marks on any of the metal. Bore shows corrosion from use with black powder, but appears to have decent rifling top to bottom. Muzzle and crown are very good. Original sites are intact, with original elevator intact. I do not have snap caps for this caliber. Gate on magazine solid, firing pin appears very good. Ejector solid and appears good. Working the lever, it is solid, not sloppy and hammer works as it should. Trigger is crisp with good weight and half cocked safety works. I did not dry fire. This firearm is the nicest, of this vintage, I have come across. It belongs in a museum. I graded it good only because of the bore. Book value is $7500.00. Comes with Winchester letter.
