This is improved double-action revolver made after German M1883 Reichsrevolver but with some important upgrades with frame and internal mechanism are true and durable as original Reichsrevolver design however it has incorporated a few features : it has a barrel-mounted extractor rod like a Colt SAA, and longer 5.5 inches barrel. The gun is marked for pre-1893 Liege proofs, and a large letter "V" with a crown above it.
It is in fine condition, with a strong, accurate action and a very good bore. The rifling is sharp. As genuine German Reichsrevolver it is a 10.6 x 25mm cartridge or a 44 Russian. The 44 Russian fits perfectly. The walnut grips are very fine and undamaged, and the checkering is sharp. The finish on the gun is about intact. This one is very rare, improved copy of a German Reichsrevolver.
