Foraging Walk in the Boreal Forest

We are excited to host a day of foraging with Kevin Kossowan, an award winning film maker and creator of the series "From the Wild". This foray into foraging at our Nature Alive Adventure Centre will open your eyes to the common, the creative, and the culinary uses of "weeds" and other plants that we see every day. Go foraging in the largest land biome: the boreal forest. Meet up at our field kitchen, and learn about 10-20 species of wild edible plant and fungus, with a focus on their culinary use in the home kitchen. This walk is on private land (ours) and picking plants and mushrooms is welcome. You are encouraged to harvest species for your own use at home.
