The mount was custom engineered and manufactured specifically for the Type 81 rifle and was extensively tested to ensure reliability, durability and zero-holding properties. The side mount installation is completely reversible and does not involve any drilling or permanent alterations to the rifle. Fits all Type 81 versions. This “NO-MOD” steel optic mounting side rail is the perfect accessory for the Type 81 in order to mount optics and accessories. I’ve got a tikka t3x chambered in 6.5 creedmoor with a vortex viper hd 5-25x50 mrad mounted in talley extra low rings. The scope also has a vortex throw lever and a scope coat. Rifle is in perfect condition as well as the scope, I just don’t use it anymore. It shoots very well and I’ve had this rifle out to 1005 yards with good consistency using factory ammo. My reason for selling is I don’t use it much anymore and I’ve got some other projects on the go. It has under 100 rounds through it.

 I just found a couple of boxes of old .350 caliber round balls that I used to shoot in my .36 cal. TC SENECA (which I haven't owned for the last 45 years) . One is an original box of 100 Hornady factory swaged balls and the other is a box of 125 cast pure lead round balls ( also .350 but with a sprue )......not sure which mold was used, as I sold it with the Seneca. I thought to list them for a couple of weeks, before I throw them into my melting pot and turn them int 50-70s  , in case someone wanted to buy ready cast balls. I am willing to ship at buyer’s expense or offer local pick up --- I am also in Red Deer one day per week and can arrange to meet there, or enroute, for delivery.

Shoots 200gr Hornady Superformance extremely well and fast! 3,000 fps. This rifle has flattened 10 moose 5 elk and other game in the last 10 years. Everything it hit went down. I shoot a couple of shots in fall to check zero and hunt. Getting too old to use and cleaning out the safe. RCBS dies and Nozler 225 gr Partitions included. I have to go to the farm and get the bullets, brass and several boxes of the 200 gr Hornady’s that could be negotiated in a local deal. One of the moose was shot at 340M. Selling my Hatsan Escort MP-TS with an ATI T3 GEN2 Stock and Door Buster break (Also included the original flash hider break). It's in excellent condition and I've put around 100 shells through it and have trouble finding the time to shoot. I'm also moving to the states in a year and exporting it is a pain. Here is an overall very good condition numbers matching bolt receiver, and nose cap war survivor. This battle rifle comes with an original 1917 dated canvas sling. The rear sites also have the ability for adjustment for windage. The bore is in very good condition with sharp lands and grooves. No cracks or rust anywhere in the stock or rifle. Made by London Small Arms. These rifles are considered to be better quality than most Lee Enfield’s that were produced.
