The shotgun is very tight and not off the face at all. The gun is very light and handy sitting 5.73lbs. It has a 12 gauge 2 3/4in, 28in full choke barrel. The patent number is molded into the plastic stock interestingly enough. The black paint on the trigger guard is flaking of a little. Howdy Townpost! I've got a sweet little custom job for sale here. This is a CBC made Remington 812. CIL sold these same shotguns as another model name too. These are really well built shotguns. They're quite beefy and made of a good quality hard steel. Nice and light but not too light at 5.5lbs. It has a 2 3/4 inch chamber and a cylinder bore (obviously). It comes with sling swivels attached and a nice padded leather sling as pictured. The OAL on this bad boy is 26.5" and the barrel measures at 18.4". The legal lengths for a non-restricted firearm are 26"for OAL and 18" for the barrel if you are shortening it on a manual action. The shotgun is located in Calgary AB for local delivery or pickup. This 12g is in good shape for being made around 1907. It’s made by Marlin for the National Fire Arms Co and is identical to an 1898 model Marlin for TakeDown steps. Some say it’s a Model 21 Marlin. We have left the investigation to the new owner as well as the safety to shoot this nearly 120 year old shotgun is your responsibility. There is an old wrist repair that was well done and still solid. Make a great display piece, and comes with 1 brass 12g case with primer. Has a great patina on receiver, 50% blue remains on barrel. This is a cool take down gun with a 30” barrel and is a true piece of History!
