The word Paragon means, “a model of excellence”. And this is true of this optic series. I see the Paragon as being the technological descendant of the old Bellorussian PK-AS sight, a one power prism sight that through innovative use of lenses, seems to have a nearly non existent edge when you look through it. Thick opaque edges serve only to limit situational awareness. Competing brands and their prism sights are a miss due to large knobs… they are “good enough”. But the nearly invisible edge of the PK-AS and later on the Paragon discarded the idea that “good enough” was actually “good enough” in regards to situational awareness. Unlike the PK-AS, the Paragon is designed to be small and light. These shotshell carrier/rail systems mount via a “saddle” style method (Remington shotguns) or by using the drilled and tapped holes on top of the shotgun’s receiver. SureShell Aluminum Shotshell Carriers with Rail are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and use Mesa Tactical’s innovative rubber friction retention system to firmly and reliable hold shells in place until needed. Four, six and eight shell configurations and multiple rail lengths available. The Integrated Rail SureShell shotshell carrier design for the Benelli M2 Tactical, Benelli M4/M1014, Benelli SuperNova and Mossberg 500/590 platforms is radically different from the side mount designs.
