Winchester Model 1895 30-40 Krag Ref #1047 This Winchester is a lever action, sporting rifle, round barrel, shotgun style rear stock. Dated 1903. Stock is in good shape, forend has a few chips missing next to metal, the rear stock is excellent, finish is period correct. Original metal recoil pad fits well. Barrel is 28” long with period sights intact. Bore is nice and clean with minimal to no corrosion, excellent rifling top to bottom. Bluing appears original and app. 20% throughout. There are very few minor scratches on metal. Screws are mostly unused, one does appear to have seen a screwdriver but is in very good shape. The lever functions well, safety checks out and the trigger pull, and drop are good. Firing pin is evident. Ejector is intact and tight, and magazine follower is correct. Overall, I grade this firearm as very good and should be fully functional. I did not test with snap caps or fire. Only reasonable offers are considered. Low ball offers will not be responded to. Selling my Canuck Commander. Bought, taken out of package and snuggled, but never got a chance to use it. Great gun, action cycles well. Pistol grip feels comfortable in the hand and the adjustable stock works great. Gun comes with 2 extra chokes and a choke key. I also have 260 rnd of 12 gauge shells in an ammo can that I’m looking to part with as well for an additional cost for $260 Would prefer local deal in Calgary.
