Winchester Model 1895 Sporting Rifle in 30-40 Krag Ref #1047 Winchester Model 1895 Sporting Rifle in 30-40 Krag with 28" round barrel, lever action dated app. 1903. Factory wood is good, a small piece missing on right forend, can be seen in photo. Bluing is app. 40% throughout. Light scratches on both sides of the receiver. Above average bore for time frame, bore has rifling top to bottom, typical black powder corrosion. Screws show minimal use. Original sights fully intact. Operationally everything appears to be good. I have a custom 50 cal flint lock, made by Bob Roller of the US. Bob Roller was a premier flintlock maker in the 70s and 80s. The gun has custom scroll work and was valued at 2400 US by contemporary flint locks. It has a crack wrist, but was professionally repaired. The year the gun was made is 1980. Local pickup only as it cannot be guaranteed for shipping by most shippers.

*Sold* Parting with my Colt 1878 revolver. She's single and double action, chambered in .476 Eley which is interchangeable with .455 Webley. These revolvers were most commonly chambered in .44-40 Winchester and dubbed the "Frontier Model", with the .476 chambering being very scarce. They were introduced in 1878 as a larger frame, larger caliber twist on the new Colt 1877 Thunderer/Lightning model, filling a niche most similar to the 1873 Single Action Army, but this time in double action as well. Selling to clear up some moolah for car repairs. Pre-1898 Canada legal antique. This revolver was made in 1885. It has the desirable Pall Mall one line address on the barrel reading "COLT’S PT.F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. DEPOT 14. PALL MALL LONDON" with most words still visible. This address is a rarity and was only put on guns intended for the European markets. Serials match 15xxx, with the last 3 digits stamped on the cylinder. The loading gate is a replacement. This gorgeous revolver has an extremely nice black finish with shiny nickeled highlights on the hammer, trigger, and hammer screw. The visual condition speaks for itself. A stunning piece sure to catch eyes, and assurance that the metal will remain protected. The rifling is still strong and defined, showing some scattered frosting. The grips appear original, and are sturdy with minor holster wear on the high points from time on the hip. The action is great. The internals are shiny in factory condition. The cylinder locks up airtight at firing position. I have never seen an 1878 or 1877 with tighter lockup. In the unique fashion of the 1878 model design, this revolver has no cylinder stop allowing slight backrotation when you disengage the action, but it still generally cycles. The loading gate is a bit wobbly, contributing to backrotation. I have a nice clean 1945 Sporter 303 British (S/N U39399) with a brass butt plate, leather sling with swivels, 4 detachable magazines, rifle case, trigger lock, Aimsport 3-9 x 32 scope (made in Japan). Rifle bore shows slight pitting but good crisp rifling, as per bore scope pic. Mechanically, everything works just as it should. Trigger breaks like glass at 4.5 lbs. Comes with everything needed (including ammo shown) to go for your next hunt. This rifle belonged to friend who no longer hunts. He had the rifle for over 40 years. It belonged to his uncle prior to being passed down. Other than that, I don’t know anything else regarding its history. Thanks for looking, text is best for the quickest response.
