Shoots 200gr Hornady Superformance extremely well and fast! 3,000 fps. This rifle has flattened 10 moose 5 elk and other game in the last 10 years. Everything it hit went down. I have a CVA Scout v2 stainless synthetic with muzzle brake single shot 45-70 for sale it has exactly 20 round through it. It shoots sub MOA.with Federal blue box 300 grain. If you wanted a 45-70 but dit not want to pay the price of a lever action this is a great option. Fun to shoot and carry. If interested I also have the dies, brass bullets and powder for it. I'm retiring this summer and thinning my cabinet as I want to concentrate on upland birds. I would also consider trade for a 20g or 28g SXS. $600.00 , Scope not included . Comes with attached leupold vari X 2-7X33 scope and includes hollow possum bore guide and bore jags and brushes. Has fired 76 rounds doing reloading work up. Complete reloading and ammo package available separately or included as total package. Reloading package includes: Redding deluxe die set, RCBS precision mic, and Lee factory crimp die - 174 once fired casing, sized, flash hole deburred, and some have federal 215 primers, and ammo boxes - around 400 bullets from 180 to 225 grains - 6 full boxes of ammo (see pic) - my documented reloading data.
