This rifle is  overall very good condition. The stock was refinished at one point in time. The barrel is in very good condition inside and out. Good strong rifling still present. The bolt and the breach also have matching numbers. Making an excellent shooting rifle or collectable piece. Comes with a period correct sling. Very good condition overall with a good 2 groove bore.Numbers match on the bolt and breach. This rifle was refurnished in Canada by Long branch in 1947 as a stamped on the bolt head M 47. This rifle also is stamped LB with  arrows on the  stock & Front band as well as the safety and metal band on the pistol grip underneath the serial number as well as on the mag.  Premium rear site with the ladder. Grooved for Stock for better grip. Also comes with a savage Canadian 1942 marked sling all original. Here you have a good too very good condition overall Lee Enfield jungle carbine. Appears to have had armoury repairs to the for Stock at one point in time. However, this rifle functions exactly how it should. Whether or not you were looking for something to collect or something to shoot you will have no issues with this rifle whatsoever. Comes with a period correct adjustable sling. The rifling is in very good condition and clean. Also has a rear elevator site. The bolt and breach seem to be mismatched. The Enfield L39A1 is a British military target/match rifle developed in the late 1960s by the Royal Small Arms Factory (RSAF) Enfield. A Stevens model 58-12 gauge from Savage arms and is bolt action. From the 1960s, 2 3/4 inch and Full choke. Comes with a 2 rds mag that has been repaired (someone stepped on it a long time ago). Has hardly ever fired, been sitting in a safe for 4 decades. Bore and action is exellent. Not sure if it was converted from a Mauser Ger98 or just based on it. This thing will never let you down, however it is very long. Perfect for an antique collection or for going straight to duck hunting. PAL is a must. Best to text me or msg throught the site.
