Brand new Partial Length Picatinny/ACOG rail, 3 inches long and sits at the back part of the dust cover for a rear bias. It is the perfect length for red dot or holographic sights. It weighs 5 ounces/141g. The AK Master Mount™ patented optic mounts are unique and purpose built products for serious users. They are built as rugged as the rifle itself. It's low profile with a low axis over bore. It also has a unique quick release "Dual Axis Locking" lever and a “2 in 1” top rail design that can accommodate picatinny or ACOG based optics. Made in the USA. Dual-Axis Locking AK optic mounts secure to an AK receiver’s side rail by one of two main methods. The first method uses a rotating lever that has a contoured portion to rotate and lock into a corresponding cut-out in the side rail. Many of the traditional com-bloc optic mounts utilized this design and are broadly referred to as SVD styled mounts. This method is primarily securing the optic mount in the horizontal axis. The second method utilizes a rotating lever to deform the bottom part of the mount to “crimp” onto the side rail. These mounts are not really quick release despite their labeling as such, and this mount deformation makes it difficult to resize the mount to a different side rail on a different rifle. The more modern approach to this method is to use the rotating lever to manipulate a spring loaded clamping bar to compress against the receiver’s side rail to make it quick release capable. These style mounts are prone to “walking” along the side rail with heavy shooting sessions as they only secure the optic mount in the vertical axis. These two techniques have been combined in a patented design to firmly secure our optic mount to an AK’s side rail in both the vertical and horizontal axis to make it Dual Axis Locking. This secure attachment maintains optics zero even with sustained heavy shooting sessions. The clamping bar is also longer than the other optics mounts on the market to provide additional clamping surface contact, and two springs are used in the clamping bar mechanism for increased clamping bar stability and true quick release capability. Low Axis Over Bore The optic mount's low profile hugs the side of the AK receiver and the dust cover to deliver a low axis over bore placement. This allows simultaneous use of the rifle's iron sights if needed. The 12 sided proprietary locking bolt provides for a greater clamping bar tension range, twice that of most optic mounts on the market. This allows for true fine tuning of the clamping bar’s clamping force, and it also ensures proper fitting on side rails of slightly different dimensions on different rifles. Optics zero is maintained. Built Rugged As the AK Itself The optic mounts are machined from a solid block of 6061-T6 aluminum to achieve superior strength, but yet be weight conscious. Its one piece design keeps things simple, maintains structural integrity, and avoids fastener failures or movement that can occur in two piece optic mounts. Likewise the optic mounts were intentionally overbuilt with heavy duty struts to reliably support its integral 2-in-1Picatinny / ACOG rail and any attached optics. Its robust struts then pleasantly blend into the body of the mount which is also rugged enough to withstand whatever abuses are thrown at it. Despite the mounts ruggedness, the edges been rounded and contoured to make it egronomic, snag free and good looking. No wimpy levers here. The throw lever is also heavy duty and is fully inset into the body of the mount to protect it from any snags and accidental release. Accessory Side Rail Built into the struts supporting the top rail are cut-outs that allow for the use of optional Accessory Side Rails. These offset rails allow for use of additional sighting solutions and accessories. Compatibility The AK Master Mount™ AKM version optic mounts are specifically designed for the standard pattern AK side rail. The MasterMount T81 Side Rail was specifically designed to provide ideal positioning, cheek weld and ergonomics when used with a Type 81 rifle. Not compatible with Underfolder. Bought this rifle a little over a year ago and have barely used it. During break in it shot .75 inch groups with ammo developed for a different 243. I have literally just loaded a ladder test and havnt had a chance to finish load development. The S8 wraps backwards over the barrel and makes the barrel look like a shorter barreled, suppressed firearm without doing either of those things. It is made out of a corrosion resistant stainless steel, nitrided black, for years of hard professional use. Although the linear compensator does not decrease the sound the firearm makes, it does direct that sound away from the shooter making the shooting experience a bit easier on the ears. The S8 compensator comes in 3 threading patterns: 1/2x28TPI (the .223 standard). 5/8x24TPI 1/2x36TPI The compensator requires a barrel diameter less than 1” with an unobstructed 2” of barrel behind the threads (before thing like gas blocks, front sight towers or bayonet lugs). If you have things like front sight posts that prevent a wrap around comp, consider the S9. The S9 was developed when customers running the ruger PC or the RDB couldn't use the S8 due to its wrap back design. NOT for SALE - LILJA Warranty reference only. MAY 7, 2024 - Fifth anniversary. News Update; By acquiring a quality bore scope, I was able to see the problem with barrel. The rifling lands in front of the chamber had separated from barrel for about 1.25" and 1 land was protruding into bore. Cut off 2" of barrel chamber end. Machined new barrel end to fit receiver tighter by .002" and rechambered for 22 short only. At range gun shot 1/4" - 5 shot group at 50 yds. shooting CCI 22 short - 27 gr. HP. Seems the rifling is not shot out but can not understand rifling land separation. UNIQUE -- NO WARRANTY or REFUND from LILJA. Call phone or e-mail only. No messages. 4 only like new Barska 30mm tube , 2 only in 10-40x-50mm, 2 only in 8-32x-50mm I have found this brand and model to be reliable as I personally have 4 in the 6-24x. I do not use or sell or recommend the cheaper models. Barska seems to be a midline scope manufacturer well above Tasco and Simmons and slightly below the best Bushnell and Nikons. Scopes come from my Dads estate, time to sell. They all have Mil Dot with rheostat illuminated cross hairs, 1/8 moa clicks, parrallax adjustment on mid turret location with exposed turrets , nitrogen purged, 1lb 12oz wieght, at least 4'' eye relief (have 1 of mine on a 300 WM). They where all mounted on rifles with only slight marks on a couple of them. I do not normally use scopes over 24x unless fixed power so i am selling these off for that reason. Will guarantee all sales with money back if scope is defective within 30 days of purchase.
