French Model 1874 T Back Sword Bayonet for use on the 11mm M1874 Gras rifle Manufactured at the French State Arms Plant of Tulle in August 1878 The Gras was the last of the French sword type bayonets and was manufactured from 1874 until about 1885. The Bayonet and Scabbard have matching Serial numbers 96363 The left side of the guard is engraved with what looks like half a written L and the numbers 96363.  The scabbard has the same mark and numbers on the left side. Above the number on the guard are 2 diamonds each with the letter B in them. The front of the guard just above the top of the blade has the letters L and P The pommel has the number 2 stamped inside at the base along with other stamps I have not identified. The top of the tang has what looks like a C6 stamped in it. The back of the blade is engraved with M d’Armes de Tulle Aout 1878   The Spring Lock works as designed.   Overall Length – with blade in scabbard  - 25 7/8” Length of Bayonet – 25 3/8” The blade has never been sharpened.   Now that I'm in my late 70's , I am downsizing my antique gun and militaria collection to move into a much smaller house with a much smaller gunroom.......offering an original 1880's Mills pattern , woven ammo belt with a rare 1881 Patent Mills/Orndorff brass buckle and retainer. The loops hold .40 to .45 caliber rounds and included are twenty .44-90 Sharps bottleneck cartridges. Please view the photos closely as the belt has been well used and has some damaged loops and earlier field repairs.....I have always refrained from doing any repairs or "enhancements" to my original antiques as the wear and tear is a natural part of its history and character. The cartridges are not original but are repro brass which was purchased about 45 years ago and which I loaded with black powder and some very old primers which were purchased about 50 years ago ( used for display purposes only ). The belt and attached buckle were purchased by me in 1967 at an Ohio gun show. The brass buckle has that beautiful patina which only time can create and it does have a few dents from honest wear and tear.....contact me if you interested and need more photos, or different angles, as the website only allows 10 photos. Pre-WW1 British Pattern 1821 Canadian Artillery Officer's Sword – no Scabbard Savage and Lyman Montreal Sword This company name was used by the Montreal silversmiths Savage and Lyman between 1868-1878. The left side of the blade immediately in front of the guard Is marked Savage & Lyman Montreal Within the engraving on the left side is a Crown.  Believed to be indicative of Queen Victoria. The right side of the blade has a small brass insert which says PROOF.  Wilkinson Sword introduced these Proof Discs in 1844. In the engraving on the right side of the blade is the word ARTILLERY The guard is steel and has fish skin wire bound grips with most of the fish skin having been worn away.   Length of Sword – 40 1/2” Length of Grip including the Guard – 5 1/2” Blade Length – 34 1/2”   Savage & Lyman Montreal (or Savage & Lyman and Company) were manufacturers and suppliers of swords, known for military pattern swords like those for Canadian militia units (e.g., 1st Battalion Chasseurs Canadiens), marking them as producers/sellers, though like many firms, they likely had blades forged elsewhere (perhaps by specialists like J. Martin in Montreal) and then finished, hilted, proofed, and sold by Savage & Lyman in Montreal, a common practice for armsmakers then.  Key Points: Evidence of Manufacturing: Swords clearly marked "SAVAGE & LYMAN MONTREAL" exist in museum collections, showing they were a recognized name in arms. Role: They functioned as an arms dealer and supplier, customizing and selling weapons for Canadian military and militia. Production vs. Supply: While they might not have forged every single blade from raw steel in-house, they were responsible for the final product, including proofing and adding their own markings, as seen on a 1885 Chasseurs Canadiens sword. Here is an excellent condition Bruno factory made German VZ 24. This is a non- matching rifle however is an excellent condition stock and boar. Comes complete with cleaning rod and site hood cover as well as  2 sling option positions with  winter trigger guard.  The Germans occupied Czechoslovakia in 1938, and their control over factories in Brno, like the Zorojovka arms factory and textile mills (like the one where Schindler's list connection is), began then, with production continuing under German direction, especially for arms like the vz. 24 rifles and ZK-383 submachine guns, until the end of World War Il in 1945. I have a Model 1908, 12 gauge single shot, Harrington and Richardson arms CO( Worcester.mass.USA made in USA) (12 gauge choke) for sale. This 12 gauge single shot has had the barrel shortened to about 20 inches. Barrel and receiver are in nice condition with little to no scratches shown in pictures. Wood has nice handmade woodburning engravings of two dragons on butstock, forend had wood it ing of dragon eye. Buttstock had been repaired showed in pictures. These are incredibly rare, it's in fantastic shape, shiny bore, and an original sling not a repro the bayonet lug is unmarked though and all the history is as such.  1941 duv K98k was likely captured or surrendered after WWII.Instead of being destroyed or exported immediately, it was: Inspected Possibly re-barreled or cleaned up Reissued to DDR police or military The W in starburst/shield marks it as part of the DDR’s official arms inventory.  these are incredibly uncommon, and east german stuff is highly collectable i can ship but I highly suggest getting insurance. I have an excellent condition antique French percussion pistol from the time of King Louis-Phillippe circa 1830s for sale. This firearm requires no license to own or shoot due to its age. I bought this gun from a Quebec antique arms dealer a few months ago and unfortunately need to move it on due to house renovations. This gun had its lock repaired by Bernard Riendeau, a Quebec master gunsmith specialising in antique arms. It is fully functional. This gun is in excellent condition, excellent bore, all engraving and wood intact. There are some small dents here and there on the stock, and minor wood loss around the front stock pin. There is some pitting around the nipple area as seen in pics. This gun had been test fired by Bernard, but I haven't had time to try it. Because the lock was rebuilt it is quite stiff. Half and full lock are, of course present. The engraving on the top of the receiver says Patent Rohre, with serial number 6923 engraved on the bottom of the grip. It will come shipped with the letter of authenticity as well as a silicone gun sock. I am looking for $1750 shipped by Canada Post. Selling under retail price for a quicker sale. Cash or EMT only. NO TRADES PLEASE. Insurance is extra and on the buyer.
