This firearm was manufactured before the manufacturer changed its name to Webley & Scott in 1897. 2.75 in. chambers. fixed chokes. double triggers. internal hammers. automatic safety. Hawkins recoil pad. double bead sight. All metal parts including the rib and both barrels are covered in intricate beautiful engraving. Wooden stock and wooden fore stock are both delicately checkered. Well cared for. Has not been fired for many decades. No rust or pitting on any metal parts. Stock has a few scratches and dents but no cracks. There is a small hairline crack on the upper right side of the fore stock. price includes an interesting looking old worn leather take down carrying case and a vintage cleaning kit in an old wooden box. more photos available on request. the shotgun was not stored in the leather carrying case.

12 ga. double barrel side by side shotgun. Made by G [George] Bate a famous English gunmaker from Birmingham England. double triggers. double exposed hammers. 2.5 inch chambers. all the metal parts of the firearm are covered with delicate intricate engraving. the barrels appear to be Damascus steel. There is no serial number from the manufacturer. There is a serial number sticker from the Canadian Firearms Registry on the side of the receiver from when the firearm was registered under the now defunct long gun registry. all old firearms records for this gunmaker were destroyed in the 1940's when the factory was bombed in WWII. The gun was made between the 1890's and the 1920's. G Bate Maker, changed its name to G Bate Ltd in the 1920's. in the 1990's the name was changed to Bate & Cross [Gunmaker] Ltd. it has been well cared for. there is no rust and no pitting. the wooden stock has some scratches and dents but is not cracked. it has not been fire for many decades.

This is a 1950 Russian. I’ve had it for about 12 years and maybe put 150 rounds through it. I did the conversion myself last summer. I put about 50 rounds through it after. It did not run flawlessly. I think the mags were not seating properly and caused it to jam. I filed down 2 of them and it seemed to run better. The gun was also dirty when I shot it the first time. I have since cleaned it and lubed it up nicely. I haven’t shot it since. It should run better now but the other 2 mags may need to be filed down a bit. This gun would be best for someone who is not afraid to do a little gunsmithing. It is a blast to shoot! It does not come with a wood stock or any other parts that are not advertised. This rifle cannot be converted back to take original SKS mags. It has been modified to accept the MagWedge adapter

Browning 1885 in 30-06. 28 inch octagonal barrel. Made in 1998. Beautiful walnut with amazing fiddleback. The Browning high gloss finish shows something different at each angle. Never hunted with. Less than 10 shots ever fired. Excellent condition with fantastic wood.  Comes with the Talley base and rings in order to mount a scope. Scope not included. Cost on these parts alone is over $250 and they are hard to find. Does not come with the original box. It will ship in a hard case at no extra cost. The Browning 1885 is a fairly rare gun in general and it is very rare in 30-06. The most common high wall is in 45-70 which is traditional but no longer a proper hunting chambering in a very long barrel rifle given the effective range. For a traditionalist hunter, the 30-06 is a real hunting chambering that will outshoot most men. It is considered a highly accurate and true shooting rifle. PAL will be confirmed.

Winchester Model 1895 30-40 Krag Ref #1047 This Winchester is a lever action, sporting rifle, round barrel, shotgun style rear stock. Dated 1903. Stock is in good shape, forend has a few chips missing next to metal, the rear stock is excellent, finish is period correct. Original metal recoil pad fits well. Barrel is 28” long with period sights intact. Bore is nice and clean with minimal to no corrosion, excellent rifling top to bottom. Bluing appears original and app. 20% throughout. There are very few minor scratches on metal. Screws are mostly unused, one does appear to have seen a screwdriver but is in very good shape. The lever functions well, safety checks out and the trigger pull, and drop are good. Firing pin is evident. Ejector is intact and tight, and magazine follower is correct. Overall, I grade this firearm as very good and should be fully functional. I did not test with snap caps or fire. Only reasonable offers are considered. Low ball offers will not be responded to. Trades in person only. The firearms and accessories I sell may be new or used and are usually acquired through estate liquidations. I visually inspect them and check basic operation only and share what I know or find in the description and photos. They are not live test fired.
