Beware of QR Code eTransfer Scam

RCMP and police in Ontario are aware of certain individuals (using various names including Hasan Sulaiman of Ontario) operating this QR Code scam. Always be suspicious of any eTransfer emails you receive and if they require you to login to your account or scan a QR Code, stop what you are doing and look more carefully.

Please report any suspicious emails you receive including the ad# and the time you received the email. Also report the instance to your local RCMP or their fraud division who are investigating these individuals.
