Selling/trading a Winchester Model 1894 in 38-55. Overall it's in fair shape. 22.5" barrel, made in 1904. Bluing has faded and turned to a darker patina. Wood stocks show their age, normal marks/scuffs, shrinkage, and hairlines. Fitment at the tang isn't all that great. Bore is dark and shows some pitting, would probably clean up a bit better with some elbow grease. This rifle hasn't been fired in many years and could use a good going through. As a result it will be sold as is with no warranty or guarantees. Looking for $950 shipped. Insurance by request on buyer. Open to all trades. Can send more pictures upon request. Up for sale is a Winchester model 70 called " The Westerner " . The rifle  is actually engraved from the factory "The Westerner".   I have done research and can't seem to find anything out about what why these were made or what it meant. They seem to be extremely hard to come by.  This rifle is in excellent shape and has seen hardly any use. It's in easy to get ammo .243. It has a very smooth action and has a blind 5 round mag that opens from the bottom to empty out.  The wood is beautiful  with some marks. I have taken some pictures to show it.  It comes with the rings , bases and a Simmons 3x9x40  scope mounted and sighted but should be fined tuned to your preference.  From my research the " Westerner " rifles are fitted with a 2 inch longer barrel, scroll work done on the receiver, checkering done in the stock . Not pressed checkering , actual checkering. A different lighter colored wood, then the usual dark wood stock of Winchester. I do not want to get messages that this is a low end $ 700 Winchester as that is not the case. You will be ignored with EXTREME PREJUDICE! I'm allergic to STUPID, and I break out in SARCASM. So you have been warned. The asking price is $1500 + shipping obo. The pictures don't do this rifle justice as she really I a beautiful rifle.  You can try trades. Looking for a pump or semi action shotgun for hunting  that does 3inch plus shells.  Also looking for a Remington model 700 in .270 or 30.06, with a detachable magazine system. A VG+ Winchester (WCF) .30 SRC (DCP). All original and free of repairs,cracks,gouges or missing wood.The usual few bruises and usage wear to be expected with a 107 yr old Canadian Naval Historical Rifle. All the proof marks,and barrel address are clearly legible,all screws are sharp and have not been tampered with. The 20” carbine barrel ore is very clean with VG+ rifling,some light scratches on the receiver,with no metal pitting. Original blueing can be seen around the saddle ring and on both sides of the receiver and on the barrel and magazine,with an aged plum patina covering the rest of the metal. Original rear ladder site is in excellent condition and functions perfectly,the action is super smooth with a solid lockup. A very nice example of Winchester Canadian Naval History! Winchester Model 1894 Ref #1041. Early five digit serial number. Dated 1897. This Winchester is a lever action, sporting rifle, octagon barrel, full mag. Dated 1897 Stock is excellent, appears original. A few marks. Original metal recoil pad fits well. Barrel is 26” long with sights intact. The read sights are intact and appear original. Bore is very nice, no obvious corrosion, does not appear to have ever seen black powder. Rifling throughout. Bluing is 40-50%. There are bumps and scratches on metal expected on a plus 125-year-old firearm. The drivers side receiver has a few light scratches and bangs. Screws have been used but are still usable. There is one on the loading port side that may have been a replacement. The lever functions well, safety checks out and the trigger pull, and drop are good. Firing pin is evident and protrudes when pushed on. Ejector is intact and tight, and magazine follower functions correctly.  Overall, I grade this firearm as good and should be fully functional. I don’t see many from this time frame with bores looking this good. I did not test with snap caps or fire. Only reasonable offers are considered. Low ball offers will not be responded to.
