The Glock pistol has a combination of three automatic safety features (trigger safety, firing pin safety and drop safety), which are sequentially disengaged when the trigger is pulled. The central pivot of the trigger is the first safety mechanism to disengage when the trigger is pulled and therefore the most important. The safety pin of the Siderlock trigger is a precise positioning system and when engaged blocks the movement of the central pivot avoiding an accidental discharge of the weapon. The Siderlock trigger offers the option of keeping the pistol in its original firing configuration simply by not engaging the lock. The Siderlock concept is simple: With a push on the safety pin a sliding pin acts to block or release the movement of the central pivot of the trigger, where by avoiding an accidental discharge when the slide is in the block position, and behaves exactly as the original Glock trigger when in the release position, all the while maintaining the original manufacture specifications. Once the Siderlock trigger is installed on the pistol, firing is accomplished by sliding the safety pin to the left prior to pulling the trigger. Preventing firing is obtained by simply sliding the safety pin to the right (Right hand Shooter assumed). For left-handed shooters, simply remove and invert the safety pin using the tools and instructions provided with the Siderlock trigger. No matter which position the slide is in it never extends beyond the trigger guard, avoiding any accidental contact with the holster ether inserted or withdrawn. Siderlock adheres to the same high manufacturing standards as Glock, using only high quality materials, a simple design and construction process, and therefore is guaranteed for life. I have an excellent condition antique French percussion pistol from the time of King Louis-Phillippe circa 1830s for sale. This firearm requires no license to own or shoot due to its age. I bought this gun from a Quebec antique arms dealer a few months ago and unfortunately need to move it on due to house renovations. This gun had its lock repaired by Bernard Riendeau, a Quebec master gunsmith specialising in antique arms. It is fully functional. This gun is in excellent condition, excellent bore, all engraving and wood intact. There are some small dents here and there on the stock, and minor wood loss around the front stock pin. There is some pitting around the nipple area as seen in pics. This gun had been test fired by Bernard, but I haven't had time to try it. Because the lock was rebuilt it is quite stiff. Half and full lock are, of course present. The engraving on the top of the receiver says Patent Rohre, with serial number 6923 engraved on the bottom of the grip. It will come shipped with the letter of authenticity as well as a silicone gun sock. I am looking for $1750 shipped by Canada Post. Selling under retail price for a quicker sale. Cash or EMT only. NO TRADES PLEASE. Insurance is extra and on the buyer.

Howdy Townpost! I have a truly amazing one of a kind piece here for sale. I bought this for myself in the US over a year ago and I had it professionally restored and fully repaired. I am now looking to sell it. John Forbes, of Liverpool, was gunmaker to His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales, later King George IV. And according to my research made mostly dueling and target pistols, and some small pocket pistols for only 5 years. Those years being 1805-1810. He spelt his name with I or Iohn and later switched the spelling to a J or John based on public records and some of the other examples of his dueling pistols that have sold at auction. That makes this a very rare and finely made pistol. This pistol would have cost a small fortune at the time it was made. Oftentimes dueling pistols come in pairs but it was cheaper to buy just one if they were offered as a single, and should you encounter someone who has insulted your honor and you demand satisfaction from them, they can bring their own pistol to the duel. The engraving is extremely fine, intricate and skilled. It would have taken many dozens of hours to complete and it was all done by hand. The engraving features drums, banners and spears, floral patterns, sunbursts on the base plate and lock, and a pineapple in the front of the trigger guard, which symbolizes wealth and status. Because this gun is a percussion conversion of the original flintlock mechanism the percussion hammer is engraved in a different style by a different engraver in a more simple floral and fish mouth style of engraving with gold inlay. Every screw is engraved to look like a flower and the escutcheons are also each engraved like a wreath. Overall there is a lot of fine detail with some simpler and less detailed later additions on the percussion mechanism and one spot on the side plate. The gun features gold inlay on the hammer which largely worn away. There is silver inlay on the outside of the breach, and a sterling silver wreath styled band wrapped around the base of the grip and a sliver bead front sight. The ramrod tip (which is a replacement) is silver plated brass, so too are the front stock cap near the muzzle, the rod pipe, cross key, and escutcheon around it are too. The grip baseplate is silver plated steel. The workmanship of this pistol is certainly of a quality of gunmaker worthy enough of being the gun maker of the Prince of Wales. Howdy Townpost. This is a fine English pocket or coat pistol made by Hollis and Sheath company which is the precursor to Hollis and Sons or Isaac Hollis and Sons. Wallace and sheath became Hollis and Sons in 1861 when Isaac Brentnall Sheath left the company to immigrate to Canterbury, Australia and raised sheep and owned coal mines in an area that is now a suburb of Melbourne. His gun making days were behind him, he'd become an industrialist down undah. Sheath & Hollis co-founded the company in 1849 and Sheath stayed with the company until as previously stated, 1861. That dates this firearm between 1849 and 1861. This is a single shot side hammer lock percussion pistol. It's a screw-barrel meaning you unthread the barrel, fill the powder chamber and place a ball on top it. You then use the barrel itself and the threads to seat the ball inside of the breach. Then a percussion cap on the nipple, put it at half cock put it in your dapper overcoat and pull it out should you meet any Scallywags on your travels. The gun is mechanically excellent. The bore condition is very good, there is some minor shallow pitting but overall the rifling is very sharp and clean and shiny. The overall exterior condition of the metal and wood is in excellent shape the diamond checkering are sharp and defined. The powder chamber has only minor pitting as pictured and was cleaned out internally. For a defensive coat pistol, the sights are excellent and easy to pick up and with a rifled bore in good condition I expect this pistol could be fired very accurately. To shoot this gun I would use 3F powder. Both number 10 and 11 caps fit the nipple reasonably well. A 40 caliber lead ball would be ideal as a projectile but you could definitely use .375 caliber balls with a patch no problem in my opinion. I haven't tried it myself though. Have a look at this and turn off barrel pistol with a switchblade bayonet for backup, made by Mr. Nock. You may need it should you encounter any rowdies! In my opinion this is an early Samuel Nock made Circa 1840s pistol. Based on comparable examples I've seen and the style of Engraving and construction of the pistol this appears to be an early production Samuel Nock made pistol. Samuel Nock was the nephew and an apprentice of of the more famous Henry Nock. Samuel knock became a very skilled and renowned gun maker in his own right. Most of his guns would be marked S. Nock but some of his earlier stuff had only his last name. I suspect he was trying to trade on his more famous uncle's name at the time. Overall the pistol is in pretty good condition except for a small hairline crack in the frame (pictured). There is some moderate pitting in the bore however it looks worse in the photo than it actually is. This is a smooth bore pistol and is breech loading so the pitting shouldn't make it difficult to load or shoot. This pistol was intended for point blank range shooting by virtue of the fact that has a stubby little bayonet to use in case you missed your target. The pistol mechanically fine. The trigger and lockwork are all in good working order and the spring loaded bayonet mechanism works perfectly. They are often broken because of the small springs and the daily carry type use of these firearms. The pistol is located in Calgary AB for local delivery or pickup. Or I can ship it nationwide too.
