This ORIGINAL 1895 Marlin rifle was shipped from the New Haven, Connecticut factory on Apr. 29, 1903. Solidly built for the larger calibers, this one in 38-56 cal. and is in NRA fine condition. The receiver now appears as silver although its original case hardening pattern can still be made out. The rest of the metal has taken on a brownish patina. All numbers and lettering are sharp and legible. The barrel a 26 inch long smokeless steel SPECIAL order half round, half octagon version, with a 1/2 magazine. The bore is good with intact rifling and a bit of shine. The wood is a SPECIAL order walnut with a beautiful grain pattern on both the forearm as well as the butt stock. While no longer factory available the 38-56 caliber is equivalent to the 35 Rem. Reloading components are available from various sources. Marlin only produced only 18,000 Model 1895's, in contrast to Winchester producing 160,000 model 1886's which was the Marlin's counterpart and competition. This alone makes the Marlin a comparatively rare firearm. Factory Letter is included. All components that are numbered have been determined to be Matching! This includes the extra fancy stocks which do not show up in the letter. The purchaser will assume all shipping costs as well as any desired insurance. Marlin 925r 22lr bolt action rifle. Pre Remington!! This is a 93 serial # gun which makes it 2007. The last year before Marlin was bought out by Remington. It comes with a 10rd nickle plated Marlin magazine. No scope or bipod included. The rifle is in great condition. No rust or corrosion, it have some light marks on the stock but no major scratches or scars. With cci standard ammo at 50m, I'm hitting 0.5" groups. Under 1" at 100m. For sale is a Marlin model 1893 antique lever action rifle with octagon barrel. has been in the family for generations. Butt was repaired at some point in its life. I believe needs a spring in the cocking mechanism other than that everything works smooth. This is the gun that changed the west and gave us our country. Selling/trading a Marlin Model 1894 in 44-40. Overall it's in nice shape. Made in the early 1900's (210xxx serial number), 24" octagonal barrel. Steel still has some colour to it, most has turned to a nice patina throughout. Wood stocks are in good solid shape throughout with no major imperfections, normal bumps and marks. Bore is in very nice shape for its age, bright and crisp with no signs of pitting or excessive wear. Retains its original iron sights. Overall a very nice rifle. Looking for $1295 shipped.
