British Pattern 1853 socket bayonet with leather scabbard and a frog This is a British M1853 Socket Bayonet for use with the Enfield, Snider, Martini rifles. This 1853 pattern was the standard bayonet carried by nearly every British infantryman of the mid-19th century and widely used during the Crimean War, Indian Mutiny, and in numerous colonial campaigns. Production of the1853 pattern socket bayonet continued throughout the life of the Enfield Muzzleloader and the Snider rifle and was finally terminated in 1875. The blade has a slight downward curve to allow easier reloading while fixed to the muzzle-loading Enfield rifle. Measuring 44 cm (17 inches), it features a triangular cross-section with fullers on all three sides, tapering to a narrow, down-turned point. Scabbard in good condition and includes a leather frog. The brass tip on the scabbard wiggles a bit but is still solidly attached. The scabbard is stamped W.D. (War Department) below the frog stud with the Broad Arrow symbol above the initials. WW1 French M1886 bayonet for the Lebel rifle. This is the war time simplified version without the quillion (hook) and with the brass handle. This version with the brass handle is of a type produced during the First World War, from the 25th of October 1914 until July of 1917.   The left side of the blade has the initials SG stamped just in front of the guard to identify the Maker.  The "S.G." mark on a French bayonet from the World War I era stands for Sutterlin Lippmann & Cie., a manufacturer located in Saint Étienne. The base of the guard has a stylized letter P with the number 45979 stamped into it. The scabbard has this matching serial number. The base of the grip has the number 11 stamped into it. I have for sale a pre-owned Vortex Crossfire II 3-9X40mm rifle scope. The objective lens and eyepiece lens are clear with no marks or damage. There are some light marks here and there on the edges and the body. There are definite ring mark impressions on the one inch tube, however the scope holds zero, magnification ring turns real easy, both windage and elevation turrets have positive clicks and she tracks perfectly. Once mounted, the rings should cover any scope tube previous ring marks. Scope has the standard duplex reticle. Vortex has a life-time warranty, regardless who owns it. I'm asking $180.00 for the scope and an extra $20.00 for shipping with a tracking number. (last price reduction) I believe the parallax is 100 yards on this model, however it would work for the rimfire calibers as well.
