All Swedish Mausers other than trials rifles were chambered for the 6.5×55mm Swedish cartridge, and all Swedish-made actions were proof-tested with a single 6.5×55mm proof round developing approximately 455 MPa (65,992 psi) piezo pressure (55,000 CUP).[4][5] Swedish Mausers were manufactured by Waffenfabrik Mauser AG in Oberndorf a/N in Germany and in Sweden by Carl Gustafs Stads Gevärsfaktori and Husqvarna Vapenfabriks Aktiebolag. All Swedish Mausers, whether built in Germany or Sweden, were fabricated using a Swedish-supplied high grade tool steel alloyed with nickel, copper, and vanadium, a product then noted for its strength and corrosion resistance. These rifles, like other pre-M 98 system Mauser rifles, lack the third safety locking lug at the rear of the bolt and feature "cock-on-closing" (similar to the contemporary Lee–Enfield rifle). De Lisle Paratroopers Carbine reproduction for sale. Originally De Lisle Carabine was designed for use by special operations forces, primarily the British Commando Brigades.  The majority of De Lisle Carbines (500) were intended to be produced with their original fixed SMLE butt-stocks. However, 50 were earmarked for a folding ‘para’ stock. The sole surviving example of a folding stock De Lisle Carbine resides today at the Small Arms School Corps collection at Warminster, UK. This reproduction is made to be as historically accurate a copy as possible but exactly according with Canadian Law.  It is a 7.62 x 25 caliber based on the Mark 3 model . It has a long 19" barrel that passes through 2" casing. No plastic parts were used. Only test rounds through the barrel.  It is the only ONE reproduction with folding stock in Canada, and possibly in all North America. The carbine functions well and is a pleasure to shoot.  The price is $3199 plus actual shipping with $100 insurance. Additional insurance is available at the buyer's request and expense. Selling/trading a Savage No. 4 Mk I Enfield in .303. Overall it's in very nice shape. Dated 1942, non numbers matching. Wood stocks are in very nice shape, seem to have a gloss clear coat on them and show very well, a few normal dings/marks throughout. Steel is in nice shape as well, has faded to a nice patina. 2 grove bore is in excellent shape, bright and crisp. Sling loop no longer present on the butt stock. The this one was checked and tested for smokeless powder by gunsmith. This one was professionally modified to accept 45auto rim and .45ACP cartridges on a moon clip and also can be used with original .455 Webley ammo. The gun is in like new condition with everything tight and working like a Swiss clock and plenty of the original blue remaining. The action is accurate strong and very smooth. The cylinder indexes and locks properly without play. The bore of the 4-inch barrel is good and mirror bright, with sharp rifling. The grips are excellent and undamaged. SN 30929, very fine overall. History & Background Philip Webley & Son began making top break, hinged revolvers as early as 1880, with the Charles Pryse patented design they acquired for use on their Webley-Pryse revolvers. Soon thereafter an improved locking mechanism by Michael Kaufmann produced the Webley-Kaufmann design, followed by Webley's own improved "Government" model, or "WG". It was not until 1887, when the British military hoped to replace the Enfield revolver that the first "Mark" revolver model was introduced. The Mk I was soon followed by the MkII (1894), then III (1897), and eventually as many as six variations were made, between 1887 and 1949. The Webley top break "Mark" revolvers were probably the single most widely used side arm in the world, and were still in service as late as the 1970’s.
