This adapter is precision machined from high quality stainless steel to the OD specifications of a 2 3/4 12GA shell plus and extra half inch in front to make this adapter three inches long in total. It will easily fit into your break open shotgun barrel and accept any 9mm Luger ammunition. After firing simply remove the adapter and tip upside down to remove the spent 9mm shell. This adapter has a rifled bore to increase accuracy, this in NOT a smooth bore adapter, again this adapter has a rifled bore. The 9mm bullet side is precision CNC machined to the exact chamber dimensions to accept 9mm ammunition (SAAMI chamber specifications). Adapter orientation is not important and the adapter will work in any position. Savage 99 in 300 Savage takedown lever action rifle circa 1927. Exterior blue was rated at 10% with brownish finish on the rest of the metal (I would have though higher but its the way a 1920s Savage 99 ages. Bore about Good to very good with some wear around the throat. Honest wear in a good solid hunting rifle. Very slight crack back of the tang of the butt stock (I had to actually look for it again) which is common to these rifles.
