As the title says. Just got my pal this year and am going to learn to hunt and hopefully in the next couple years fill a freezer with meat. I’ve been plinking with a .22 for the last couple months but now I’m looking for a good (but affordable) bolt action rifle, scope, also looking for advice on hunting in general and gear recommendations. If you have a rifle or scope that’s just sitting around let me know, I’ll take care of it and use it well. Budget is $750. Looking for .308 .30-06 calibre. Purchased new in 2014 and shot 40 times cleaned and left in storage since. While hunting the back nipple that holds the shoulder strap broke. The bolt was lost during storage and the one seen in the picture is from a 710 Remington 30-06 this 30-06 is a Remington Model 770. It fits and latches in a little snug no round has been fired through with the 710 bolt. Please consult a gunsmith prior to firing. Gun is reduced price to account for a new bolt.
