Here you have a nice used example of something that was used during the war. Recently gone through and cleaned. Everything operates as it should. The bolt and breach do not match. However, there is a Canadian marked 1942 sling that is original. The markings are very faint. The pistol grip and  stock are marked with  C  arrow. The front site and front  stock  have the LB stamped Steele. This is a five groove barrel in very good and clean condition. C-arrow  is also stamped on the breach. There are a few bumps and bruises to be expected from the age of this rifle. Outside of that you have something that should function and last another very long time. This is an original U.S. military M1916 hip holster designed for the Colt M1911 or M1911A1 .45 ACP pistol, widely issued during World War II (and earlier in WWI).
