Caucasian shepherds were bred and used in Russia, also known as a Russian Bear Dog or Caucasian Ovcharka. They were used to guard prisons, where they would take down prisoners who tried to escape. Today they are used to defend properties, take out Coyotes, guard livestock, and as personal protection and alert dogs. 3 year old Catahoula border collie cross and has lots of behaviours associated with herding breeds including a love to work and be outside. He enjoys running outside, being active, and human attention. He is not a dog for someone who is gone a lot or for long periods of time, he also is not a dog to be kept cooped up - his ideal day is a hot summer out in the yard and a relaxing evening on the couch inside a home with an owner. Would not be okay left unattended in a barn over night - he’s not that kind of dog he likes to be out in the day but at night he wants to be in on the couch, in the lap of a human. He needs daily exercise time to run, stretch his legs and burn off energy. He would do best with either an elderly couple who likes to go for walks on local city trails, garden outside, enjoys their backyard but also is home throughout the day. Or On a farm/ranch working with other herding breeds in the day time, and inside on an old lazy boy recliner watching the game with his human by evening. We lost our home, have been reduced to an rv, have a baby and despite our best efforts to try to make it work - we now see there’s a difference in “making it work” and being fair to his needs. Keeping him at this point is selfish and doing more harm than giving him an opportunity in an established home.

I am selling 10 unique livestock guardian, or family pet dogs that will be excellent for property protection, camping, hiking, and as a family pet. Both parents have a very good temperament, calm demeanor with family; and will guard against predators such as Coyotes if need be. These puppies will be very large as adults; females being 90-100lbs, and males being 110-150lbs. Each breed in this mix is a combination of the fastest (Greyhound), strongest (Kangal and Caucasian Shepherd), and best guardians (The above, and Cane Corso, Dogo Argentino, and Belgian Malinois.) The combination of these breeds will create a superior genetic dog that is faster than a normal livestock guardian, will have a property guarding demeanor from the Cane Corso and Argentino, is stronger than a Greyhound, and is smarter than other guardians and has genetics for intelligence from the Malinois. The Dad is 50% Kangal, 25% Cane Corso, and 25% Dogo Argentino The Mother is 37.5% Caucasian Shepherd, 25% Greyhound, and the remainder is Belgian Malinois and a little Sarplaninac. I have family tree photos of their lineage for 4 generations as they were selectively bred to be genetically superior canines. Their ancestors have been used as livestock guardians and as pets. He turned out to be an amazing family dog Jasper is 3.5 years old and produces sperm Breeding can be done by natural breeding or AI. He has sired 10 healthy litters of different peoples dogs, and carries genes that have produced an amazing variety of puppies; Red Merle’s, Blue Merle’s, Black & Whites, Tricoloured, Solid Red, and Brown puppies. He had these colouration combos as his mom was black and white, dad was a red merle, and grandma was tricolored. His further descendants likely carried further coat colors, as he has produced a variety of coats on all his pups. Jasper is great with people, other animals, and does well by himself or in crowds. His mother was a trained cattle dog. Jasper has a long coat. His father has a long coat, and his mother has a short coat, so his pups can have a variety of coat lengths. I purposefully bred his mother to produce him as a mixed breed, because it helps with health, life longevity, and a larger genetic diversity, and a lower coefficient of inbreeding. This coat is also excellent for our habitat and seasons, where he is fine in winter or summer. He is able to make beautiful pups. He is very muscular. The dogs he would go good with, considering they are healthy, include breeds such as a German Shepherd, Husky, Aussie, Collie, Retriever, Maremma, Poodle, and other medium to large healthy dogs.
