Anne Foundation is presently seeking an individual to fill a position located in our lodge in Onoway.   Activity Coordinator – Permanent Full Time Chateau Lac Ste. Anne – Onoway   Directly reporting to the Site Manager, the Activity Coordinator is accountable for: Administrative Support, Resident Relations, Program Planning, Program Implementation, and Volunteer Management. This position entails a high level of interaction with seniors and requires some physical endurance (e.g. manoeuvring wheelchairs). Offsite day trips are occasionally scheduled.   Essential Functions / Responsibilities:   ·         Ensure department personnel fulfill positional areas of accountability ·         Ensure organizational standards are adhered to ·         Ensure safe work practices and procedures are adhered to  ·         Assist Site Manager in resident orientation process ·         Communicate available programs and upcoming events ·         Provide information pertaining to social and leisure opportunities offered within the community ·         Encourage and support resident social clubs/associations ·         Determine life enrichment activities and events that meet resident mental, physical, social and spiritual needs ·         Develop activity calendar and work schedule  ·         Evaluate activities and events ·         Lead activities as required ·         Monitor and document activity and event participation ·         Recruit and retain volunteers to support resident activities ·         Organize daily tasks  ·         Purchase supplies within budget guidelines     Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience: Proven success in the following job competencies:   ·         High School Diploma ·         Activity Coordinator Certificate (Red Deer College) is preferred ·         Previous work experience with seniors ·         Previous experience with volunteer groups ·         Level 4 Criminal Record Check   Lac Ste.
