Two Norwegian Elkhound puppies born October 16, 2024, and ready for new homes anytime now. In the pictures: One is a girl (the lighter coloured one) and one is a boy (the blacker one); the dog playing with the pups is the mom and the solo dog is the dad. They are all purebreds and this is the parents' first litter. This is a medium sized breed. Even though it might look a bit like a husky, they are not related. They are half the size and much more versatile, friendly, and trainable. They are not at all aggressive, but will let you know if anything or anyone strange shows up. This breed very suitable for outdoor living in Alberta and they could easily be outdoor dogs or indoor/outdoor dogs. They love the snow. Highly trainable, intelligent, versatile, playful, and friendly breed. Great with children and also other pets and livestock, if raised alongside them. Both parents are pure Norwegian Elkhounds that live outside on our farm, where we have chickens, sheep, horses, and a cat, and everyone gets along. Hi there, We are a family of 4 with 1 on the way looking to purchase our dream property in Alberta. We currently live in Manitoba but are in the process of moving to Alberta for my husband's work. He works in Alberta doing environmental consulting and wildlife management. We want to raise our children closer to beautiful nature. I have two adorable Labrador x pups left from a litter born in September 2023. They have their puppy vaccinations and have been dewormed. They’re in good health, they’re super friendly, active and eager to learn. I did have them started on house training but they’ve been living outside recently. I have a really small house and too many dogs to be all in the house. They’re great with other dogs, they’ve been exposed to chickens, rabbits, cows and pigs. And have been fine with them. My yard is not fully fenced and I’ve never had them wander or chase vehicles etc. they’ve been really good and are young enough that if someone wanted them indoors it would be super easy to finish their training. These beautiful, sweet, pups were born October 14th. There are 13 of them, 5 females and 8 males. Mother is purebred golden retriever named Foxy. She is sweet and calm and would sit on your lap all day if allowed. She is incredibly trainable and desires to please. Sire's name is Buck, and is half golden retriever and half English Lab. He is my babysitter for my toddlers and my 4 year old is training him to be a sled dog. He has excellent retrieving drive. Both parents live with us and our 4 kids, and are available to meet.The Pups are used to cats, chickens and cows, and love people. They are almost weaned and love their food! They are eating a combination of kibble and raw food. About half the litter will have shorter hair, and more retrieving drive like the father. This is the third litter. The previous 2 litters had been bought by trainers for service dogs and are currently being trained and paired up with veterans and first responders.
