The Enfield L39A1 is a British military target/match rifle developed in the late 1960s by the Royal Small Arms Factory (RSAF) Enfield. It was essentially the open-sights counterpart to the L42A1 sniper rifle (which used a telescopic sight), both built on converted Lee-Enfield No. 4 actions rechambered and rebarreled for 7.62×51mm NATO (.308 Winchester compatible). Here is a bolt and receiver matching 1950  long branch precision shooting target rifle. These rifles are very collectable in the shooting community and  chambered in 7.62. Only a couple thousand of  made and are regarded as incredibly accurate rifles.   Please see picture for details on condition but overall, I would rate this as high condition or very good condition stock as well as bore.  Collectors estimate around 1,500–2,000 authentic CAL/DCRA conversions were done (some sources cite ~1,300–1,982 based on observed numbers and databases compiling photos/serial tracking). These are scarce today, especially pristine examples. Long Branch receivers (like this 1950 one) are preferred for conversions due to better tolerances/magazine fit, but British receivers (e.g., BSA, Fazakerley) were also used (sometimes requiring extra milling). This rifle’s setup (target sights, display with Canadian volunteer theme) aligns with a classic DCRA target configuration— converted 7.62 example used in DCRA events. No rust. Nice aged patina on the receiver/lever. Blued finish is good on the barrel and magazine tube. TD has no play. Wood has been lightly sanded and refinished. Action is smooth and trigger is consistent at 3lb's pull with excellent 1/2 cock. Bore is shiny (can send pics). Gun shoots amazingly for it 1926 production date.  I haven't seen 1 for sale in Canada in this good of condition.  Serious inquiries only. Shipping with insurance must be covered by the buyer. These survival knives were made by the Pacific Coast militia Rangers during World War II to protect against the West Coast invasion of Japan. The Ross Bayonet was selected and then created to what you see here in these pictures today. If you are into collecting these niche items this will be sure to impress. The leather scabbard has small notches carved into it as well as C board Arrow, Mkll, 1914. You’d have to use your imagination for what was being counted.
