We have had her since she was weaned, and she has proven to be a very loyal, affectionate, and good natured dog. She is extremely patient with our toddlers, and our cat is her best friend. She responds very well to commands and is eager to please, she's generally house trained and never has accidents overnight. She likes to play fetch, and most of all to be by our side. While she is skittish when meeting new animals, she is quick to warm up to strangers. Rosie has been an excellent dog, however it is clear that she is unhappy lacking a purpose and a wide open place to call home. We believe she would do best with an acreage, or at least a back yard, to run around in, and lots of attention and care to help direct her energy. The role involves preparing (bathing/drying/brushing) dogs for their grooms and assisting with cat grooming. Other tasks include cleaning and sanitizing, managing the laundry and interacting with clients. Grooming experience is not necessary but applicants with animal handling experience will be given preference. Applicant will need to accept direction and follow instructions to ensure the safety of the pets in our care, as well as their own. The current work schedule is currently: 8:30am - 2pm Tuesday/Wednesday 10am - 4:30pm Thursday 8:30am - 12pm Friday Harvest hours are shorter (off by 1pm) during the months of September and October. No weekends or holidays. The position will officially start March 11th but would we would love to have the opportunity to have our current assistant train you, so we are looking at a training start date of February 25th or earlier.
