We raise quality Yorkshire Terriers and Biewer Terriers. On occasion, we get an extra special little puppy that shows the qualities needed to be a companion &/or support dog. We then invest our hearts and time into the puppy, nourishing these character qualities. The result is a young puppy well-started in companionship &/or support and behavioral training. This very sweet little girl is exceptional. She has completely stolen my heart. While I was training her, I was going through my own difficult time with the passing of my Mother. As a result, she became my support dog and brought me so much comfort. I knew that I was unable to keep her, but the time I spent with her has been meaningful to me and the nourishing of her tender little heart will be passed on to her new owner. I trained her to sleep on the bed as many companion &/or support dogs are. What I discovered, is that she snuggles in so close. She must be touching her person at all times whether it is her neck in the nape of yours, a nose tucked under your hand, or snuggled in beside you. She stays quiet during the night and on occasion if she needs to go potty in the night, she gets off the bed herself and uses a pee pad. Typically, she doesn’t stir all night. She has a gorgeous thick and very soft coat. She is quiet but also enjoys being very playful. She is well-suited to someone with children and/or other small dogs as she has been in an environment with both, as well as introductions to cats and large (gentle) dogs. The initial puppy costs and vet expenses have been taken care of. In fact, we spent additional vet fees for X-rays, to prove that her skeletal structure is normal and healthy. She’s had 3 core vaccines and deworming. She has a clean bill of health with a veterinary health certificate. Our Vet costs are approx. $600. She 9.5 months old and approx. 7.5 lbs. Meet Disney! Don’t let her small stature (23lbs) and shy nature fool you, this girl is a FIRECRACKER! We lost our heart-dog in a freak accident Christmas morning and this little girl showed up as a stray Boxing Day. We decided to take her in as a personal foster; vaccinate, spay, and microchip her in his memory. She is all healed up from her spay on March 11th and now has the best chance at finding her ‘happily ever after’ with a family of her own. Disney is housebroken, crate trained, knows some basic commands, and well on her way to perfect leash manners. She has been exposed to livestock (though never worked them), loves our house cat, and leaves my chickens alone. However she is a mischievous spirit and I would not leave her unsupervised with them just yet. The vets believes her to be about a year old and a Heeler Australian Shepard mix. All we know is she is 100% good girl. She does appear to have allergies of some sort that make her a bit itchy, but we have it managed with food and it costs about $100 a month to feed her on it. It also turns her poop bright green which your kids will get a kick out of! Now because Disney spent the first year of her life as a stray she is very very shy when meeting new people and new dogs. She had a couple of puncture wounds when she was brought to us and would flinch and run away if we moved too fast. She is still holds that cautious nature with new people and will need time, patience, and understanding from her new family. That means no off leash time for awhile, slow introduction to rambunctious dogs an toddlers, and the understanding she won’t be the dog to instantly fall in love with you. She also is the dog to fear “leak” a little if you yell or handle her roughly. She does best with positive reinforcement training strategies. However give it a week with her and watch the switch flip. This girl is the definition of loyal. She is a tiny Diva and just wants all the love to make up for all the time she went without. When she decides you’re safe she is the ultimate Velcro dog. She is also increadibly smart and has a high working drive. She will need to go either to an acreage/farm home, someone who will bring her to work so she gets lots of exercise, or a family that gets she is a heeler and will need a ton of mental stimulation and exercise. We will not be adopting Disney out to an city home at this time as we do not feel based on her shyness and exercise needs it would fair to her or her new family. Potential adopters with small young children who do not have good dog manners yet, may not also be a fit for her. Disney has a foster home and safe place with us as long as she needs, and that includes if her potential adoptive family takes her and decides she is not a fit. This is Chewie (short for Chewbaca). We adopted Chewie in October 2022 hoping to bring him out of his shell as he was/is a very shy pup. Chewie is now 2 years old and has come a long way, however we find ourselves unable to commit the time and training that he needs. Chewie wants to be loved very badly but is very scared of people - especially men. Chewie has done well in our home with 2 other dogs (one small and one medium sized), our 2 cats, and our 2 small children (aged 3 and 6). Mom is red merle and dad is red and white. Both dogs are wonderful family pets and super loyal and obedient. Their offspring is just like them and easy to train and so eager to please. Pups will have long hair and will be mid sized dog when full grown, 35 - 40 lbs. The Parents of the pups are Australian Shepherd red merle ( mum) and red and white Australian Shepherd ( dad). We own mom and dad since pups and never had a health issue . The Dad is red white , and he is everything we looked for to use as a Stud, he is not papered , like mum. They are pets, protectors and working dogs. They have a wonderful mind and great personality, very loyal, and they pass this on to their babies. We are located in the Cariboo/Chilcotin area and DELIVER THE PUPS to Kamloops for a small fee and pups can be flown via airplane from Williams Lake to lower mainland, when pups are ready to go, after vet visit and shots and worming is done, usually at the age of 8 - 10 weeks We also offer weekly updates with photos until ready to go, of the pup your choice.
