Selling/trading a Winchester Model 1892 in 44 WCF (.44-40). Overall it's in nice shape. Made in 1911, 24" barrel. Steel is all in nice shape throughout, has faded to a nice patina, no major pitting or rust to note. Wood stocks are also in good solid shape, shows normal marks and dings throughout, two scratches and one light hairline at the wrist. Bore shows some light pitting throughout but still has decent colour and rifling to it. Loading gate appears to be homemade but seems to function as it should. Complete with iron sights. This is one of my best collections selling to complete my ear surgery ....Here is 24 inch octagon barrel chambered in 44 WCF caliber with a bright bore that has some light frosting. Full length magazine tube. Original sights include a German silver blade front and a typical sporting rear. Barrel has thinning blue with sharp corners and crisp markings. Magazine tube is mostly a brow/gray. Receiver has good traces of original blue with the balance a plum/brown and a few spots of pitting. Nice functioning action. Walnut stocks show a few light handling mars and a small crack on the right side of the forarm. Rifle style buttplate. 2nd Model Winchester 1873 rifle made in 1880.
