Here is an excellent condition Bruno factory made German VZ 24. This is a non- matching rifle however is an excellent condition stock and boar. Comes complete with cleaning rod and site hood cover as well as  2 sling option positions with  winter trigger guard.  The Germans occupied Czechoslovakia in 1938, and their control over factories in Brno, like the Zorojovka arms factory and textile mills (like the one where Schindler's list connection is), began then, with production continuing under German direction, especially for arms like the vz. 24 rifles and ZK-383 submachine guns, until the end of World War Il in 1945. These are incredibly rare, it's in fantastic shape, shiny bore, and an original sling not a repro the bayonet lug is unmarked though and all the history is as such.  1941 duv K98k was likely captured or surrendered after WWII.Instead of being destroyed or exported immediately, it was: Inspected Possibly re-barreled or cleaned up Reissued to DDR police or military The W in starburst/shield marks it as part of the DDR’s official arms inventory.  these are incredibly uncommon, and east german stuff is highly collectable i can ship but I highly suggest getting insurance. This is a correct WW Suhler Consortium M98 rifle. It is my opinion this rifle was reworked by the German military for use in WWII given the original WWII German armorers replacement. It is in original condition with all parts visible numbers matching. No import mark is present. Triggergaurd is unnumnered however it shows an Imperial H woth crown on the magazine floorplate. The magazine follower is an original German armorer Wafdenampt stamped replacement part. Buttplate is correctly unnumbered. Rating Definition: Excellent. Rifle retains 90-95 % crisp original finish. Stock: The walnut stock is correct and serialized 4473 to the rifle in good condition with a crack on the front left side between the upper barrel band and rear barrel band. Note: Stock pictures in listing show what looks like a crack in the mid area of the buttstock however there is no evidence of this on either the pistol grip side of the buttplate side where the stock is cracked whatsoever. Additional pics can be taken to show this. I hypothesize that this is perhaps a shrinkage in the wood due to rifles age. Rifle shows typical handling marks. No evidence of sanding. Bore: Bore is good with very pronounced lands and grooves visible. Rifle shows a great crown and has a smooth chamber. Mechanically sound, the rifle is in excellent condition. The action functions as it should.

This is a VZ24 Czech 8mm mauser with the “E lion” crest The receiver has formed a patina finish to it but the crest is deep and all details of the lion is clear. It is a non matching full furniture rifle. Top hand Gaurd is cracked the bands hold it together. Light/normal wear/scratches on stock wood and metal has not been refinished. Front sight is missing the VZ sight Gaurd a common part missing and not to hard to source, front sight is correct with the sight gaurd channel so the fix is easy as sourcing the part and sliding it in the channel. History: sourcing is a bit hard as many documents were lost/destroyed or not maintained during and post WWII. Some information I Did find on the E lion crest was some can be as old as 1935 but most with records dated and started to show up in 1936 they started to disappear in 1939 and many receivers with the Czech lion were required to be scrubbed after Germany absorbed Czechoslovakia during WWII.

Czech K98k in 8x57 Manufactured after WWII at Brno factory.The L serial block id makes it 1946-1947. All numbers matching except the safety and cocking piece were numbered when factory was reusing some old parts. Matching number laminated stock. This is the K98k that was the predecessor to VZ24. It has the typical rampant lion crest. Turned-down bolt handle. Very clean example. Excellent shape. No rust. Value is $1600-$1900 condition depending. This one is very clean in excellent+ condition. Selling/trading a Gewehrfabrik Danzig Sporting Rifle in 8mm Mauser. Overall it's in nice shape. 24" barrel, controlled round feed Mauser action, twin trigger, bolt and receiver are matching. Steel is in good shape, steel has some varnish remnants on it which will come off with some elbow grease. Has decent colour on the steel, normal fading on the receiver and heavier handled parts. Wood stock is in good solid shape, one chip at the heel which was pinned but has some play. Has finish loss on the wood throughout. Bore is in nice shootable shape. Comes with a ramp/post style front sight and a flip up leaf style rear sight. Could use a good going through if anything as it appears to hav east for a while.
