1953 manufacturing date (serial# 1988048) on this Winchester model 94 rifle. 30-30 caliber. I have owned this for quite a few years, but I have never fired it myself. It has been a safe queen for me. It has had at least some light usage in its lifetime but has really maintained a very nice condition. The rifling still appears pronounced. The action seems solid. This one is a limited edition centennial model, marked "1894-1994" on the right side of the receiver, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Model 94 rifle. Caliber is .30-30. This is the Ranger model, with angle eject and crossbolt safety. Like other Model 94s, it has a 20 inch barrel, open sights, smooth hardwood stock and a 6 shot tube magazine. This rifle is in mint condition. The metal is beautiful, no rust or pitting anywhere, bore is bright and shiny. The condition of the wood is also excellent with no dings or scratches. This one was likely a safe queen.
