This is one of my best collections selling to complete my ear surgery ....Here is 24 inch octagon barrel chambered in 44 WCF caliber with a bright bore that has some light frosting. Full length magazine tube. Original sights include a German silver blade front and a typical sporting rear. Barrel has thinning blue with sharp corners and crisp markings. Magazine tube is mostly a brow/gray. Receiver has good traces of original blue with the balance a plum/brown and a few spots of pitting. Nice functioning action. Walnut stocks show a few light handling mars and a small crack on the right side of the forarm. Rifle style buttplate. 2nd Model Winchester 1873 rifle made in 1880. A Fine .450/400 Nitro Express made in 1907. Perfect shiny bore with no cordite burn. London proved for 400 grain bullet, 60 grains cordite. Boarder engraved. 100, 200, 300 yard express sights. Rust blueing excellent, thinning on sharp edges and where the case contacts. Wood sound with 117 years worth of small nicks and dings. Case is rough. Leather is hard and stained. These shotshell carrier/rail systems mount via a “saddle” style method (Remington shotguns) or by using the drilled and tapped holes on top of the shotgun’s receiver. SureShell Aluminum Shotshell Carriers with Rail are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and use Mesa Tactical’s innovative rubber friction retention system to firmly and reliable hold shells in place until needed. Four, six and eight shell configurations and multiple rail lengths available. The Integrated Rail SureShell shotshell carrier design for the Benelli M2 Tactical, Benelli M4/M1014, Benelli SuperNova and Mossberg 500/590 platforms is radically different from the side mount designs. Instead of a stamped backing plate, the shell carrier yoke is attached to a machined bracket with an integral Picatinny (MIL-STD 1913) sight rail.
