VKT (Valmet), or the State Rifle Factory became operational September 9, 1928. Since 1930 Valmet's factory rifle club was active as well, having their hand in the design of the Finnish Lion, together with Aimo Lahti, the chief designer. 2. The Finnish Lion has the longest manufacturing time of all Finnish guns, from 1930 to 1979. I picked this up a while ago and have never used it. It was going to be my bug out gun but life changes and i need to downsize my collection. There is some pitting on the receiver. Bubbad metal work to fit the mag. Rifling looks good. Wartak skar sd-r scope rail. And AR magwell adapter. There is a bit of finish work that needs to be done. The ammo stovepipes unless you put a shim behind the mag then it cycles fine. Might be an easy fix if you have the right tools. Topped with a Burris fullfield 3-9x40 at the moment. $1500 for the rifle, magwell, rail and scope. 1500rd crate of Chinese corrosive. extra $500.
