For sale is a Savage model 1899 lever action rifle. Chambered in SAV .303. Rotary style 5 shot magazine. 26" Barrel. Serial number 106710 dates it to 1910. The front fore grip had a crack in it was professional repaired by a local gunsmith. The blueing was also redone. Other than that the rifle is in good condition for its age, see pictures. Savage 99 in 300 Savage takedown lever action rifle circa 1927. Exterior blue was rated at 10% with brownish finish on the rest of the metal (I would have though higher but its the way a 1920s Savage 99 ages. Bore about Good to very good with some wear around the throat. Honest wear in a good solid hunting rifle. Very slight crack back of the tang of the butt stock (I had to actually look for it again) which is common to these rifles.
