For sale is a Winchester model 55 Nickel steel take down chambered in .30 W.C.F. Serial number 1047350. 24" barrel. The gun is in good shape for its age.The barrel and rifling are clean and good. Smooth lever action. The is a hairline crack in the stock and a little blemishing to the wood in fore grip. It comes with a little peep sight. See pictures for markings and condition. The model 55 was made between 1924-1932 and is a relativity rare rifle with only 20,500 made. Cal. 30-06. Serial# 4798918. Bbl.24". Marked behind front sight "SC" with a flaming bomb and "10-43." Aperture rear sight graduated to 800 yards. Blade front sight. Swept bolt marked on top of handle "B2" and marking underneath appears as "F." Safety lug is Remington style, as is the bolt shroud. All stamped furniture, including large bow triggerguard and fine checkered trap buttplate. Walnut stock set with two recoil bolts. The grip is marked underneath with encircled "P" proof. Assembly marks are visible ahead of the trigger guard. CONDITION: stock set has a and bruises in its appearance commensurate with extensive service. There are numerous handling marks. Look at this beautiful 1943 numbers matching to the breach and bolt handle. The stock is in high condition with very few marks at all. Also comes with a Canadian marked 1943 canvas battle sling. Markings are faint, but there. Metal retains good finish. Four is shiny and clean, but I would say good to fair condition. A small LB is also present on the front band. This would make an excellent addition to any collection. Everything operates as it should. Also comes with 1943 dated Canadian marked action cover.
