This is a correct WW Suhler Consortium M98 rifle. It is my opinion this rifle was reworked by the German military for use in WWII given the original WWII German armorers replacement. It is in original condition with all parts visible numbers matching. No import mark is present. Triggergaurd is unnumnered however it shows an Imperial H woth crown on the magazine floorplate. The magazine follower is an original German armorer Wafdenampt stamped replacement part. Buttplate is correctly unnumbered. Rating Definition: Excellent. Rifle retains 90-95 % crisp original finish. Stock: The walnut stock is correct and serialized 4473 to the rifle in good condition with a crack on the front left side between the upper barrel band and rear barrel band. Note: Stock pictures in listing show what looks like a crack in the mid area of the buttstock however there is no evidence of this on either the pistol grip side of the buttplate side where the stock is cracked whatsoever. Additional pics can be taken to show this. I hypothesize that this is perhaps a shrinkage in the wood due to rifles age. Rifle shows typical handling marks. No evidence of sanding. Bore: Bore is good with very pronounced lands and grooves visible. Rifle shows a great crown and has a smooth chamber. Mechanically sound, the rifle is in excellent condition. The action functions as it should.

Hello I'm selling a Arisaka-Carcano Type I Rifle, it is Italian made for the Japanese Imperial Navy for WW2. This is a combination of the Carcano 1891 and a Type 38. It has the action and barrel of a Carcano and it is chambered in 6.5 Jap, has the 2 piece stock, 5 round internal magazine, and the sighting system of the early Type 38. The bolt and receiver has markings from Fabbrica Nazionale d'Armi - Brescia, this is the more uncommon version accounting for roughly only a quarter of production with total estimates from 60k-130k across all factories. Two types of Type I buttstocks were made, the short and long version and this rifle is the long buttstock version. The bolt on the Type I cannot be swapped with a Carcano and vice versa as the Type I bolt has a slightly different location cut for the ejector. The exterior metal has some surface wear and some light surface rust with the buttplate being the most worn. The internals and bore are in good condition with good rifling as shown in the images and the bullet test, the bullet I used was the 6.5 Jap Norma Factory ammo. It is missing the cleaning rod and ejector, luckily the ejector is readily avaliable in parts stores such as Numrich. The rifle has a hidden duffle cut under the front barrel band, the previous owner repaired the duffle cut by putting a small wooden dowel in the cleaning rod hole and glueing the 2 pieces together. The glue has come loose and would need to be re-glued. The rifle shoots well using 0.264 Speer bullet handloads at 25M with all the shots landing well without any keyholeing. Brand new from purchase in early 2022. Made in Japan. This rifle has never had a single shot fired in it, it never even made it out to the gun range. It has never been cleaned or disassimbled. This is one of my best collections selling to complete my ear surgery ....Here is 24 inch octagon barrel chambered in 44 WCF caliber with a bright bore that has some light frosting. Full length magazine tube. Original sights include a German silver blade front and a typical sporting rear. Barrel has thinning blue with sharp corners and crisp markings. Magazine tube is mostly a brow/gray. Receiver has good traces of original blue with the balance a plum/brown and a few spots of pitting. Nice functioning action. Here's a pretty rare one for you. It's a Shiloh 1863 Sharps infantry rifle made in the early days when Shiloh was in Farmingdale NY. They don't make this model anymore. The fellow I bought it from purchased it in the late 70s, and said he never did anything more than hold it from time to time and oil it well. It is a .54 caliber with a 30" blued barrel and adjustable ladder sight marked up to 800 yds. The stock is a nice nice piece of walnut with 13 3/4" length of pull and a case coloured steel patchbox. The case colouring on the metal parts is amazing, with some really beautiful colours and patterns shining through. The rifle comes with an adjustable leather sling and some bullets with paper cartridges. Also included is an Eras Gone custom ringtail Sharps bullet mold. This mold was designed for the utmost accuracy with these rifles, and the bullets can be used with loose powder, or with cardboard tubes or traditional paper cartridges tied/glued to the bullet. I also have about 160 musket caps and Swiss 1.5fg powder I can include for local pick up. It is in pristine unfired condition. The only minor issue is a small dent in the forestock which I've included a picture of. I would like $3500 or best offer with local pick up or shipping on the buyer's dime. Savage 99 in 300 Savage takedown lever action rifle circa 1927. Exterior blue was rated at 10% with brownish finish on the rest of the metal (I would have though higher but its the way a 1920s Savage 99 ages. Bore about Good to very good with some wear around the throat. Honest wear in a good solid hunting rifle. Very slight crack back of the tang of the butt stock (I had to actually look for it again) which is common to these rifles.
