Winchester Model 1894 38-55 Ref #1040 This Winchester is a lever action, sporting rifle, octagon barrel, full mag. Dated 1895 Stock is very good – good. Small tang crack 1” long, and a minor chip gone at tang. Forearm has an app. 2” crack and a few very minor cracks. The stock has typical bang marks. Finish appears original or period correct. Original metal recoil pad fits well. Barrel is 26” long with sights intact, rear sight may have been replaced at one time, again period correct. Bore has black powder corrosion but it’s clean now and has rifling top to bottom. Bluing appears original and app. 75-85% throughout. There are bumps and scratches on metal and evidence of minor surface rusting. Screws have been used, but in very good shape. The lever functions well, safety checks out and the trigger pull, and drop are good. Firing pin is evident and protrudes when pushed on. Ejector is intact and tight, and magazine follower functions correctly. Overall, I grade this firearm as very good and should be fully functional. I did not test with snap caps or fire. Only reasonable offers are considered. Low ball offers will not be responded to. Trades in person only. Here's a pretty rare one for you. It's a Shiloh 1863 Sharps infantry rifle made in the early days when Shiloh was in Farmingdale NY. They don't make this model anymore. The fellow I bought it from purchased it in the late 70s, and said he never did anything more than hold it from time to time and oil it well. It is a .54 caliber with a 30" blued barrel and adjustable ladder sight marked up to 800 yds. The stock is a nice nice piece of walnut with 13 3/4" length of pull and a case coloured steel patchbox. The case colouring on the metal parts is amazing, with some really beautiful colours and patterns shining through. The rifle comes with an adjustable leather sling and some bullets with paper cartridges. Also included is an Eras Gone custom ringtail Sharps bullet mold. This mold was designed for the utmost accuracy with these rifles, and the bullets can be used with loose powder, or with cardboard tubes or traditional paper cartridges tied/glued to the bullet. I also have about 160 musket caps and Swiss 1.5fg powder I can include for local pick up. It is in pristine unfired condition. The only minor issue is a small dent in the forestock which I've included a picture of. I would like $3500 or best offer with local pick up or shipping on the buyer's dime. This is an excellent single action Smith & Wesson New. Model 3 in .44 Russian. This is an early production pistol as noted by the 4 digit serial number. This pistol is in superior condition given its age. The mechanics are excellent and the bore and chamber, though showing the typical evidence of black powder use, are in extremely good condition with strong rifling. Some original blue remains in protected areas with the balance faded to a very nice patina. It comes with a rare and highly collectible H.H. Heiser 3 loop antique holster which is probably not as old as the pistol itself. Overall, a highly collectible and desirable pistol. As with all antiques, no PAL or registration is required.

Price drop from 3650 Dec 1! This is an incredibly rare antique Unwin & Rodgers NON-XLL folding knife pistol from the mid-1800s, chambered in a 28 caliber rimfire. Based on dimensions it should accept 25 Stevens rimfire. This is a pocket knife to put all Swiss Army knives to shame, packing a big punch with a folding trigger single action handgun. It is a very collectible piece, and hard to come by in this condition. It would have probably been owned or given as a gift to a relatively wealthy businessman as an elegant approach to utility and self defense. In the 1841 Sheffield trade directory, Unwin and Rodgers advertised themselves as “manufacturers of spring knife cutlery, including lancets, scissor knives and pen machines, pistol knives, American and Indian hunting and self-defense knives.” The theory is that the NON*XLL markings, when read aloud, translate into the phrase “Non-excel,” signifying that the Unwin and Rodgers knife pistol had no peers. This British made knife pistol is in beautiful condition, with the steel in amazing condition on both the blades and the barrel also. It has carved horn grips, a beautiful shiny barrel, and an even sheen on the knives with no rust. Where many old knives have been sharpened and worn down over the decades, the blade profiles are still original and incredibly sharp. The left grip has a small crack where the rivets are, but it is still very stable and solid. It has multiple Birmingham proofs, and is signed on both blades. The trigger and both knives fold and unfold very cleanly. It is about 10 inches long when the knives are opened. The mainspring is very strong, and all functions correctly in the action and ejector. It has a storage compartment for keeping shells, cleaning patches, and spent casings. The blades are in fantastic shape, especially at over 160 years old. This is a Budapest M95 steyr (mannlicher) rifle chambered in 8x56r. It is an arsenal force match SN 5988H. Straight pull bolt action, 5rd clip fed (1clip included with rifle). History: prior to WWII the 1895 mannlicher rifles were cut down to carbine length and rechambered from 8x50r black powder to the more powerful 8x56r smokeless cartridge which is indicated by the “S” on the barrel and score line on receiver and barrel. Ok so I lost my mind and asked way too much for my .75 Black Powder, smooth-bore musket. This is a Pedersoli repro built in 1989. It is pristine, minty even. It is a pile of fun to shoot and for a smooth-bore is surprisingly accurate at 100 if you use a patched ball. There are no pits or rust, as I say it is minty. It does not come with this sling. I can get you one if needed. Takes its origins from the famous 1777 musket, differing from this only in some minor details. This musket faithfully reproduces the original model made in Potsdam. The barrel is of polished steel and all metal parts are of brass. The European walnut stock is oil finished. The polished steel lock, recalls the 1777 model, and is inscribed "Potsdam". First "I'll take it" with payment wins. My preference is a local deal, as shipping this rifle won't be cheap, especially for the buyer. Not looking for any trades. Asking $1,300.00. Offers welcome.

Swiss M1882 Service Revolver, 7.5mm Swiss Ordnance This is a very well made revolver, based on the Chamelot & Devigne and Nagant designs, modified by Swiss firearms designer Rudolf Schmidt. The gun utilized George Abatis' unique safety which disconnects the hammer from the trigger when the loading gate is open. This allows the shooter to advance the cylinder using the trigger to quickly load or unload the chambers. The gun is in excellent condition, with 99% of the blue intact. The straw colors on the hammer and trigger are still well visible. The action is crisp and accurate, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly with zero play. The bore of the 4 1/2inch barrel is good with sharp rifling. The barrel was replaced by arsenal with newer one dated 1902 but it doesn't affect antique status of the gun. Matching serial numbers and assembly numbers. The gun is chambered for the 7.5mm Swiss Ordnance cartridge, but shooters in Switzerland frequently use the .32 S&W Long cartridge instead. Excellent overall. History & Background Swiss M1882 military revolvers are fairly scarce on the Canadian antique market. Although the arsenal at Bern produced over 37,000 pieces between 1883 and 1937, only those with a serial number below 7508 are considered antique in Canada. The M1882 was produced by both the SIG Neuhausen and the Bern factories for military use and private sale. Specimens with a serial number below approximately 20,000 were fitted with plastic grips bearing the Swiss cross. Later models would be fitted with plain wooden grips. The M1882 saw a slight re-design in the 1920’s and was re-named the model 82/29. The M1882 was in service from 1883 until the 1970’s and was carried by military, police, border patrol and home guard forces. These Swiss revolvers are usually in extremely fine condition when sold on the antique market. This can be attributed to the following two facts: firstly, Switzerland has not been involved in a war since 1847, its last armed conflict, a short-lived civil war. The second reason for the fine condition is the Swiss government’s policy to allow soldiers leaving the service to keep their side arms. Given this opportunity, most soldiers were careful to maintain and protect their guns more diligently than if it had been just an issued piece to be returned to the arsenal. The Swiss Ordonanzrevolver of 1882 is chambered for the 7.5 Swiss Ordnance cartridge, but in Switzerland the .32 S&W Long is commonly used, as it is more readily available. ​

The nitre-blue colors on the loading gate spring, hammer and trigger are excellent. The action is crisp and strong, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly, without play. The bore of the 4 1/2 inch barrel is excellent and mirror bright, with sharp rifling and no signs of pitting or wear. The walnut grips are excellent and undamaged, and show only a little wear on the right side. Pre-1893 Belgian proofs, SN 1827, rated excellent overall.

Mechanically in excellent condition with proper timing and lockup. The latch is also solid with zero play. Extractor works as it should. The black plastic grips are excellent and undamaged SN 3363, perfect overall. History & Background Smith and Wesson's first double action design dates back to at least 1872 - years before Colt ever attempted a double action cartridge revolver. It was mentioned in a letter to the Russian envoy General Orlof, and although the sale to Russia never materialized, it served to pave the way for the very popular and successful line of double action top break revolvers. The .44 Russian model was actually the first to be produced as a prototype, and the last to be released for sale to the public. For this reason there exists a degree of confusion over the proper terminology: the first one to be manufactured for sale was the .38 caliber model, followed by the .32. The .44 caliber model was not released until 1881, and is variably known as the No. 3 Double Action, the Double Action "Navy" (a name Daniel Wesson wanted to keep alive to differentiate this model from the No. 3 single action, and still holding out hope to sell it to the Russian navy), and the First Model Double Action. Originally, the .44 Double Action was made with a 1 7/16 inch cylinder, however an optional .44-40 version was available as of 1886. This required a 1 9/16 inch cylinder, and a longer frame. The firm soon realized that it was too expensive and cumbersome to manufacture two different sizes of frames for what was essentially the same gun, and the shorter cylinder and frame were dropped in faivour of the longer one in the early 1890's. The No. 3 frame .44 double action top breaks were dropped from the Smith and Wesson catalogue in 1913.

(available for sale online). but still can shoot original 11mm ammo. It is very interesting example of 1873 French Service Revolver that was converted to 45ACP / .455 Webley caliber which was readily available during WW2 and was considerably more powerful than original and hard to find 11mm ammo. This one is in excellent original condition, all the markings are sharp and complete. The serial numbers are repeated on all components: the barrel, cylinder, frame, grips, internal mechanism parts and even the screw heads and escutcheons. Everything matches. The bore of the 4 1/2 inch barrel is as perfect and it is mirror bright and the rifling is sharp. The action is excellent and accurate and very smooth, the cylinder indexes and locks properly with no play. The walnut grips are excellent and show no damage this one looks like new. SN J24391, this one is made in 1885, rated excellent overall. MAS Mle 1873 French Service Revolver, 11mm French Ordnance The Mle 1873 was France's first double action cartridge revolver. After the disastrous loss to Prussia in the war of 1870, the French military closely examined its armaments and small arms, and they came to the conclusion that a new, more rugged and powerful side arm for their infantry was required. The result was the Mle 1873, designed by the famous partners of Chamelot & Delvigne, whose genius ideas would dominate much of the European military (and commercial) small arms market for decades to come. Many European countries adopted their designs, including Switzerland, Italy, Sweden, Russia and Belgium. Only the Brits and Germans would continue to develop their own side arms.

Colt M1889 "Navy" Double Action Revolver, .41 Long Colt, SCARCE 3-Inch Barrel​ This model is a marked departure from previous Colt revolver designs, and would be produced in a few variants from 1889 until 1907, with some 330,000 made. Many were sold to the US military. It has a counter-clockwise rotating cylinder with locking slots on the back. This one is in very fine condition with a scarce 3-inch barrel. It retains 100% of the nickel. Excellent, sharp markings, matching assembly numbers on all parts. Nice nitre-blue on the hammer and trigger. The action is crisp and strong, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly with no play on trigger pull. The bore is very fine and bright, with sharp rifling. The grips are very fine with no wear . SN 25842. History & Background This model is an important milestone in Colt handgun development, as it is the first American revolver with a swing-out cylinder mounted on a crane, a development which would become the standard for modern revolvers to this day. The 1889 cylinder mechanism was already "on the books" as early as 1880, based on designs of Colt engineers William Mason, C.J Ehbets and Horace Lord. It would take almost ten years for Colt executives to give the green light to manufacture this gun, and once it was available, the US government quickly took notice and ordered several thousand for the Navy. Colt adopted the name "New Navy" in honor of this order. The gun has an interesting counter-clockwise cylinder rotation and a locking mechanism which relies entirely on the two-pronged hand. The 1889 model would remain in production for 18 years. When it was first introduced in 1889, it met with no competition from the other major makers - Smith & Wesson were still heavily engaged in manufacturing top-break revolvers, and Remington only had their solid frame revolvers with removable cylinders to offer. It would take S&W another ten years before they had a viable alternative to Colt's design.
