A VG+ Winchester (WCF) .30 SRC (DCP). All original and free of repairs,cracks,gouges or missing wood.The usual few bruises and usage wear to be expected with a 107 yr old Canadian Naval Historical Rifle. All the proof marks,and barrel address are clearly legible,all screws are sharp and have not been tampered with. The 20” carbine barrel ore is very clean with VG+ rifling,some light scratches on the receiver,with no metal pitting. Original blueing can be seen around the saddle ring and on both sides of the receiver and on the barrel and magazine,with an aged plum patina covering the rest of the metal. Original rear ladder site is in excellent condition and functions perfectly,the action is super smooth with a solid lockup. A very nice example of Winchester Canadian Naval History! I have 150 rounds of super rare 25-20 ammunition that I formed from 32-20 cases. They are loaded with 60 grain Hornady soft points, 11.0 grains of Accurate 1680 powder and CCI-400 primers which yields a velocity of 1621 FPS. Up for sale is a Rem 700 long action chambered in 300 Winchester Magnum. Less than 100 rounds down the barrel, I was going to use it for a course but didn't think I'd live through 2 straight days of that recoil lol. It's been in the safe since, a couple years. A few light scratches on the barrel and stock from moving things around in the safe, otherwise good condition. Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action 38-55. Date 1909 The stock was varnished at some point. The wood on forearm and butt stock is very good with just some minor bangs from use. Original curved steel recoil butt plate is in place. The bluing on barrel, magazine and lever is approximately 75% and the receiver is < 10%. The metal is good but has some minor scratches, etc. and evidence of minor surface rusting. The non-load side of the received looks like course steel wool was used on it. Buck horn sights are in excellent condition and period correct. The barrel is 26” with a full magazine, and the muzzle looks good. Bore is polished & shiny and shows very minor past corrosion, probably from black powder use. Rifling is in good condition. Screws have been used but are in very good condition. All lettering and the serial number are crisp and clear. Operationally everything checks out. The trigger is good. The firing pin extends out when pushed, The cartridge lifter works well and the ejector is tight. Spring on loading port is tight. Half cock safety works and hold when bumped, when at full cock or fire ready the hammer does not fall when bumped. Overall, this firearm is graded as good. A good addition to any collection. Only reasonable offers are considered. Low ball offers will not be responded to. Trades in person only.
