The SteadyShooter is light-weight (approx. 985 grams or 2 pounds) and the legs fold together which makes it easy to carry with you at all times when hunting.
SteadyShooter has a fully-adjustable side rest which can be used to instantly shoot from a kneeling or sitting position. In my experiences this is a very useful feature as sometimes getting up for a standing shot can spook your animal away. To my knowledge, no other shooting rest on the market has this feature.
The above-mentioned side-rest can also be used to allow shooting from the prone position.
The legs have two telescoping sections so they can be varied in length from 32" to 75". However, using the side rest you can support your rifle at a height as low as 6" (ie. prone position).
The SteadyShooter sets up in seconds when a hunter carries it with the legs extended to his/her preferred length.
The V-yoke rotates 360 degrees and provides a very steady support for your rifle.
The V-yoke and side-rest are both nicely padded with soft rubber to protect your gun.
