Here is a very good overall condition stepped barrel,  hex receiver Sako M24 Mosin from 1924. No rust or pitting anywhere. Stock is also very good with very few marks for its age. Bore is in excellent condition.  I recently took this rifle on trade from another collector. He took very good condition of this particular rifle. Rifle comes with adjustable sling. See pictures matching numbers, barrel and bolt.  Sako, which produced these in the 1920s as part of the Civil Guard’s arsenal. The 1924 date fits perfectly as the start of M/24 production, and the serial number 17266 is consistent with early examples. These were based on captured Russian M1891 actions, often with new barrels (you can see a stepped barrel from the photos), and saw use in WWII during Finland’s conflicts with the Soviet Union (Winter War and Continuation War). Easily accommodates 2 rifles ( see photos ) ...... a great metal gun case ( if somewhat heavy construction ) which I purchased to hunt overseas. It has not seen much use ( actually only  1 flight on a hunting trip to New Zealand  carrying both a Malcolm scoped 16 lb., 32" barreled Sharps long range and an a scoped 10 lb. mid range ) , as well as a dozen or so trips by car to various gun shows in North America, at which I used to display various select arms from my Sharps and Remington Rolling Block collection. The sturdily built case weighs about 17.8 lbs. by itself and measures 53 1/2 " x 13 1/4 " x 4 1/2" . I have tried my best to photograph and show the few dents on both sides of the case. These are now in the $600 plus price range for a new one. YES, both keys still come with it!   I am willing to ship at buyer’s expense, or offer local pick up --- I am also in Red Deer one day per week and can arrange to meet there, or enroute, for delivery.

Looking to sell my Weatherby Vanguard in .243 Winchester. Comes with the Bushnell Engage 3-9x40 optic.  These caps are still rolled in their original brown paper rolls ( 12 caps in each roll ) which came in 3 small boxes of Sharps .56 caliber linen cartridges,  of 10 rounds each . The ammo boxes have already been sold on Ebay to a Sharps collector in Virginia who only wanted the pristine ammo boxes and cartridges, for his collection and display ( without the trouble and incurred expense of the import customs  paperwork for shipping the musket caps).  I would be willing to sell them individually at $10 each.  --- I am also in Red Deer one day per week and can arrange to meet there, or enroute, for delivery.

  I am downsizing my antique gun and militaria collection to move into a much smaller house with a much smaller gunroom.......offering an original 1880's Mills pattern , woven ammo belt with a rare 1881 Patent Mills/Orndorff brass " OLD RELIABLE " buckle and retainer. The loops hold .40 to .45 caliber rounds and included are twenty .44-90 Sharps bottleneck cartridges. Please view the photos closely as the belt has been well used and has some damaged loops and earlier field repairs.....I have always refrained from doing any repairs or "enhancements" to my original antiques as the wear and tear is a natural part of its history and character. The cartridges are not original but are repro brass which was purchased about 45 years ago and which I loaded with black powder and some very old primers which were purchased about 50 years ago ( used for display purposes only ). The belt and attached buckle were purchased by me in 1967 at an Ohio gun show. The brass buckle has that beautiful patina which only time can create and it does have a few dents from honest wear and tear.....contact me if you interested and need more photos, or different angles, as the website only allows 10 photos. This is a rarely encountered ensemble.    I am willing to ship at "BUYER'S EXPENSE" but it will need to be by a trackable and insured method, or I offer local pick up --- OF COURSE I CANNOT SHIP THE BLACK POWDER CARTRIDGES WITHOUT REMOVING THE POWDER AS THEY ARE CLASSED AS EXPLOSIVES.......THIS COULD BE POSSIBLE AS I HAVE NEVER CRIMPED MY SHARPS CARTRIDGE RELOADS WITH PAPER PATCHED BULLETS. Pre-WW1 British Pattern 1821 Canadian Artillery Officer's Sword – no Scabbard Savage and Lyman Montreal Sword This company name was used by the Montreal silversmiths Savage and Lyman between 1868-1878. The left side of the blade immediately in front of the guard Is marked Savage & Lyman Montreal Within the engraving on the left side is a Crown.  Believed to be indicative of Queen Victoria. The right side of the blade has a small brass insert which says PROOF.  Wilkinson Sword introduced these Proof Discs in 1844. In the engraving on the right side of the blade is the word ARTILLERY The guard is steel and has fish skin wire bound grips with most of the fish skin having been worn away.   Length of Sword – 40 1/2” Length of Grip including the Guard – 5 1/2” Blade Length – 34 1/2”   Savage & Lyman Montreal (or Savage & Lyman and Company) were manufacturers and suppliers of swords, known for military pattern swords like those for Canadian militia units (e.g., 1st Battalion Chasseurs Canadiens), marking them as producers/sellers, though like many firms, they likely had blades forged elsewhere (perhaps by specialists like J. Martin in Montreal) and then finished, hilted, proofed, and sold by Savage & Lyman in Montreal, a common practice for armsmakers then.  Key Points: Evidence of Manufacturing: Swords clearly marked "SAVAGE & LYMAN MONTREAL" exist in museum collections, showing they were a recognized name in arms. Role: They functioned as an arms dealer and supplier, customizing and selling weapons for Canadian military and militia. Production vs. Supply: While they might not have forged every single blade from raw steel in-house, they were responsible for the final product, including proofing and adding their own markings, as seen on a 1885 Chasseurs Canadiens sword. Selling/trading a Gewehrfabrik Danzig Sporting Rifle in 8mm Mauser. Overall it's in nice shape. 24" barrel, controlled round feed Mauser action, twin trigger, bolt and receiver are matching. Steel is in good shape, steel has some varnish remnants on it which will come off with some elbow grease. Has decent colour on the steel, normal fading on the receiver and heavier handled parts. Wood stock is in good solid shape, one chip at the heel which was pinned but has some play. Has finish loss on the wood throughout. Bore is in nice shootable shape. Comes with a ramp/post style front sight and a flip up leaf style rear sight. Could use a good going through if anything as it appears to hav east for a while. Webley & Sons circa 1896 chambered in .476 Eley and .455 Webley, and sold by the famed John Rigby & Co. in London. Established in 1775, John Rigby & Co remains to this day a staple of the fine firearms market. Their role in this piece's history adds even further to collector value. These revolvers were very popular private purchases among sportsmen and higher ranking officers around the turn of the 20th century up through WW1 as reliable, accurate, and elegant handguns. With an impressive 6" barrel and mirror-bore rifling, this is a collector's or target shooter's dream. I can add a box of 50 factory new Fiocchi Heritage .455 Webley rounds with purchase of the revolver if you have a PAL. If you don't want these rounds, take $100 off asking price. As a pre-1898 antique, this can be owned and used without any registration or headaches. Visually this revolver retains most of its original shiny dark blue finish with scattered minor loss from 130 years living. The trigger, hammer, ejector, cylinder release mechanism, and hinge screw have a shiny silver "in the white" finish giving a proud and bold contrast. The original checkered square bottom hardwood grips are solid, showing some minor dings and a tiny chip on the right. These are incredibly rare, it's in fantastic shape, shiny bore, and an original sling not a repro the bayonet lug is unmarked though and all the history is as such.  1941 duv K98k was likely captured or surrendered after WWII.Instead of being destroyed or exported immediately, it was: Inspected Possibly re-barreled or cleaned up Reissued to DDR police or military The W in starburst/shield marks it as part of the DDR’s official arms inventory.  these are incredibly uncommon, and east german stuff is highly collectable i can ship but I highly suggest getting insurance.
