Winchester Lever Action Repeating Rifle, .38-40 WCF, mfg. 1890. This is a good honest original ‘73 fresh out of a very old local collection. Standard length 24" octagon barrel retains it’s original dovetailed blade front sight and adjustable buckhorn rear. The metal has a mottled dark gray patina overall with some traces of original bluing remaining within protected areas around the sideplates, trigger, and along the dust cover rail. Sharp edges with generally smooth surfaces throughout. Some very light surface oxidation spotting forming toward the muzzle. The stock retains about 40% factory varnish with the balance worn to a pleasing dark untouched patina. Tight wood-to-metal fit with moderate wear overall and a just really honest, unmolested appearance. There is some very minor chipping along the edges of the butt and a super tight old 1" hairline crack at the front left side of the forearm. Original hammer, trigger, lever & locking nut, loading gate, dust cover, buttplate with trapdoor compartment (cleaning rod absent), forend cap, and magazine tube & band. Screws appear to be original. Crystal clear original barrel address, caliber marking, model designation, and serial number "336159" on lower tang. Action is very smooth, crisp, and secure and functions perfectly. Rifling is worn and pitted at the very tip of the muzzle but otherwise the bore shows good rifling overall with moderate/heavy blackpowder frosting and pinprick pitting scattered throughout. In all origial condition is a British Lee-Enfield NO 4 MK1 in 303 British. The rifle was sent back to the Fazakerley Factory for rebuild in 08/43. The bore is a bit dark but has great rifling. The wood is solid but with many dings and dents. Text or call 778-909-7110

Made in about 1902, a Winchester 1873 lever action rifle in caliber 22 long has a 24 inch barrel, a dark worn bore showing some rifling and has original sights. Works nice as a single shot, inner magazine tube is missing. Metal condition is good with little blue remaining. Stock is very nice with no cracks and original finish. Forend has a crack but is functional. The inner magazine tube is available from time to time but the function as a single shot is perfect.
