Marswells model 1914 pump action 12 gauge. Has an external hammer, bead sight, wood stock, full choke. From the research I’ve done online this gun is likely over 100 years old but I can’t seem to narrow it down to the exact year. The gun fires well, even slam fires. Sometimes a round will get caught in the action if you don’t cycle it fast enough. Tube magazine holds 5 3inch shells. The left side of the tube magazine has a hole near the end but it’s doesn’t affect the function of the gun at all, purely aesthetic. I don’t hardly use the gun, tend to usually reach for my newer ones. That’s my reason for selling. Located near Sangudo Alberta, roughly an hour north/west of Edmonton. This is an Antique Harpers Ferry U.S. Model 1842 Smoothbore Percussion Musket. The overall length is 57-3/4” with a 42” long barrel and coming in at just under 10 pounds. This is a .69 caliber musket. These were designed in 1842 and were produced from 1844 to 1855, with this one being made in 1849. There is a partially visible eagle over US forward of the hammer. Rear of the hammer is the markings HARPERS FERRY 1849. Inspection marks can be found on the barrel near the breech and on the trigger guard. Overall condition is very good with a low amount of handling dings and a small crack in the wood by the butt plate. Mechanically in excellent condition with a strong action. The Model 1842 was the first U.S. musket to be produced with a percussion lock. It had an effective range of 100-300 yards and a maximum range of 400 yards. The 1842 was the last U.S. regulation .69 caliber musket. Many of these muskets later had the bores rifled and saw service in the American Civil War. This would make a great addition to any antique collection of would even be suited as a stand alone piece. This is an antique so no PAL is required for purchase. Frank Wesson Single-Shot Pistol, .32 RF Short/Long RARE Frank Wesson, elder brother to Daniel Baird Wesson of S&W fame was an accomplished gunmaker when Daniel was still a boy. The two younger Wessons would apprentice with their oldest brother Edwin, and learn much of their expertise from this talented and versatile master. Frank would move to California in the 1850's, probably lured by the opportunities presented by the gold rush, making and repairing guns for the local needs. By 1859 he had moved back to Worceater where he set up shop in his own name. Frank is best known for his fine rifles, "bicycle rifles", deringers and single-shot pistols. Frank Wesson never ventured into the revolver market until he had partnered with his nephew Gilbert Harrington to form Wesson & Harrington. The revolver making business continued to evolve as Wesson & Harrington first, and then Harrington & Richardson.​ This is Frank Wesson's "medium frame" single-shot pistol, chambered in .32 rim fire. It is in excellent condition, with original blue. The little lever on the bottom of the frame releases the barrel lock when the hammer is in the safety position, and the barrel snaps open as it should. It will not open if the hammer is down, or fully cocked. The bore of the3 5/8 inch barrel is excellent and bright, with sharp rifling. The rosewood grips are very fine. This is an early model of the first variant, of which only about 1000 were ever made. SN 54, excellent overall.

These Wolff spring kits make a noticeable improvement. I have seen ads for Mcarbo (two different weights) trigger springs but no hammer spring for $22. Also have seen ads for Wollf spring kits but they're not in stock and you need to go on a waiting list. Mine are "in-stock" and ready to go. Wolff part number 30190, hammer and trigger springs as shown. The picture looks kind of funny, I know. I took two pictures for this ad, in one the writing on the top was clearly visible, but the flash was reflecting right over the spring and you couldn't see it very well. So I combined the two pictures into one. I just purchased a trigger gauge, so I will do the measurements and post the results in a couple of days. I can state for certain that my "re-worked" trigger "feels" much better, but having the ability to measure it is much more credible. Replacement of the springs is not the simplest process. You need some pretty good punches and a vice. If you don't work slow and steady you can bend the pins and have other greif. If you don't want to tackle it on your own, let me know.
