It is a fast, accurate, fun shooting little 20 caliber cartridge based off the 222 Remington case that is easy on the shoulder and barrel, cheap to load for too. It was designed by my late friend and fellow gun enthusiast. No fire forming required, run the case thru the dies, trim, load and shoot. These days when components are so expensive it's nice to be able to go to the range and shoot more than a couple rounds and actually have some fun. One load I have uses only 18.6 grains of powder, that's somewhere around 375 loads to a pound of powder! Great for gopher, coyotes, fox and other small game or just target shooting for fun. 11-87 12 gauge camo 3 inch. Please read the full ad before contacting me. This is a bit of a project gun. I bought it new in 2008 and shot it casually over the years with almost nothing but lead trap loads. Recently it developed a problem cycling the action after the shot. It will always fire. However, sometimes it will cycle the action, other times the action cycles half way and stops, and still other times it will not cycle at all. Sometimes it picks up a new shell and sometimes it won't. Sometimes is locks up and can only be freed by popping the barrel and the action bars out and re assembling it. I don't have the time or interest to look into it . It might be a simple fix who knows. I already bought a gun to replace it. This isI a package deal only. This includes the gun as it came from the factory, with 1 modified choke tube, a wrench, 27(?) Inch barrel. It will also come with a Remington 20 inch fully rifled 12 gauge barrel that has open sights. This barrel has 11 slugs through it and was used on 1 trip to shoot a moose. Cal. 30-06. Serial# 4798918. Bbl.24". Marked behind front sight "SC" with a flaming bomb and "10-43." Aperture rear sight graduated to 800 yards. Blade front sight. Swept bolt marked on top of handle "B2" and marking underneath appears as "F." Safety lug is Remington style, as is the bolt shroud. All stamped furniture, including large bow triggerguard and fine checkered trap buttplate. Walnut stock set with two recoil bolts. The grip is marked underneath with encircled "P" proof. Assembly marks are visible ahead of the trigger guard. CONDITION: stock set has a and bruises in its appearance commensurate with extensive service. There are numerous handling marks. The metal retains its original finish with some thinning and wear. Very good, shiny 4-groove bore. also comes with a leather combat sling. This one is in excellent condition. The nitro blue on the trigger and hammer is well visible and retains 95% of original blued finish. The action is strong and accurate, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly very little play on trigger pull. The bore of the 4 1/2 inch barrel is good and bright with strong rifling. The markings are sharp and defined throughout. The assembly numbers on the cylinder, crane and frame. The original grips are good and undamaged.​​ S/N 71799 History & Background This model is an important milestone in Colt handgun development, as it is the first American revolver with a swing-out cylinder mounted on a crane, a development which would become the standard for modern revolvers to this day. Sharps & Hankins "No. 3 C" Four-Barrel Pepperbox, .32 Caliber Rim Fire , SCARCE This one is a Sharps & Hankins four-barrel pepperbox classified as a "Model 3C". It is characterized by the button-type barrel release and ejector mounted between the barrels. It is chambered for the .32 rim fire cartridge. The gun is in excellent condition, with original blue intact and the case colors on the frame. The markings are sharp and clear. This is a unique variant with a floating, internal firing pin which rotates a quarter turn with each cocking of the hammer and these are rarely encountered. The 4 bores are good with strong rifling all the way. The black gutta percha grips are excellent and undamaged. SN 5822, excellent overall. Christian Sharps (1811-1874) was one of the best-known firearms designers and manufacturers of the 19th century. Although he never achieved the volumes of Colt, S&W and Remington, Christian Sharps was a major supplier of long arms to the Union during the civil war. His carbines are iconic among civil war collectors. Sharps sporting rifles were extremely popular at the time, and still fetch premium prices to this day. Christian Sharps had a rocky and sometimes acrimonious relationship with his managers and partners, and would leave the Hartford firm in 1853, returning to Philadelphia. There, he formed a new company in 1854, called C. Sharps & Co. He manufactured pepperboxes and single-shot pistols, while the Sharps Rifle Co. continued with long arms.
