This rifle is  overall very good condition. The stock was refinished at one point in time. The barrel is in very good condition inside and out. Good strong rifling still present. The bolt and the breach also have matching numbers. Making an excellent shooting rifle or collectable piece. Comes with a period correct sling. Selling/trading an Enfield No. 4 Mk I Sporter .303 British. Overall it's in good shape. Dated 1945,  barrel and receiver match. Steel is in good shape, shows some normal aging in the colour and finish. Wood stocks are in good shape as well with normal blemishes for its age. Forestock has tape on it around the barrel as the barrel band is loose without it. Bore is starting to darken but still has decent rifling left. hi all,i am selling rare winchester THUMB TRIGGER,The rifle was produced from 1904 to 1923 ****o After the 52,000 gun, new barrel markings appeared: ".22 Short, Long, or Ex. Long" and Trademark Reg. In U.S. Pat Off." So, we now know your piece was made after 1905 and before 1911 (Production run data shows gun 52,000 occured in mid-1911). Steel has turned to a dark patina throughout, has some black residue on parts of the barrel. Wood stocks are in good shape, one pin through the wrist which is solid.
