WW2 Canadian history!, unfortunately the Veteran/Hero who was issued this is unknown. I tried to get some info from the seller but to no avail he did not have any further information. Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action 32-40 Ref #1043 This firearm comes with a Winchester letter indicating it was originally an Octagon barrel, it has however been rebarreled to a round barrel which is marked Model 94. The action is a Model 1894. The butt stock is near perfect, the forend has two hairline cracks that had been professionally repaired at one time, probably when rebarreled. The finish is period correct. Original curved steel recoil butt plate is in place. The bluing on barrel, magazine and lever is approximately 75% and the receiver is 20%. Barrel is 26” with a 2/3 magazine, and the muzzle looks excellent. The metal is excellent with no dings, scratches, etc. There is no rust or corrosion evident. A few rub marks on the right side of action. Sights are in excellent condition and period correct. Bore is clean and does not appear to have seen black powder, there is no corrosion, it’s nice and shiney, with rifling in good condition. Screws have been used but are in very good condition. All lettering and the serial number are crisp and clear. Operationally everything checks out. The trigger is good. The firing pin extends out when pushed, The cartridge lifter works well and the ejector is tight. Spring on loading port is tight. Half cock safety works and hold when bumped, when at full cock or fire ready the hammer does not fall when bumped. Overall, this firearm is graded as a shooter due to being rebarreled, but it is in good condition and a good addition to any collection. Only reasonable offers are considered. A very well presented Sako III, offered as a complete kit. The barrel is clean and shows good and well defined rifling. The crown is free of any damage or pitting. The finish of the barrel is in matt black and there is some loss around the muzzle. The bolt, bolt way and chamber are all clean. The bolt face is clean and free of any marks. The condition of the bolt handle indicated very little use. The laminate stock is in excellent condition and features sling mounts fore and aft. Winchester Model 1895 30-40 Krag Ref #1047 This Winchester is a lever action, sporting rifle, round barrel, shotgun style rear stock. Dated 1903. Stock is in good shape, forend has a few chips missing next to metal, the rear stock is excellent, finish is period correct. Original metal recoil pad fits well. Barrel is 28” long with period sights intact. Bore is nice and clean with minimal to no corrosion, excellent rifling top to bottom. Bluing appears original and app. 20% throughout. There are very few minor scratches on metal. Screws are mostly unused, one does appear to have seen a screwdriver but is in very good shape. The lever functions well, safety checks out and the trigger pull, and drop are good. Firing pin is evident. Ejector is intact and tight, and magazine follower is correct. Overall, I grade this firearm as very good and should be fully functional. I did not test with snap caps or fire. Only reasonable offers are considered. Low ball offers will not be responded to.
