I have up for sale a US Model of 1917 Eddystone in 30:06.  It's in fair condition. Barrel is bright and shiny. The stock is cracked above the trigger opposite the bolt. Not sure what happened to it. We're talking 4000 fps, point blank range of 250 yards, and 5 lbs of felt recoil. Gophers, dead. Coyotes, dead. Pigeons, dead. Typical grouping is under 1" @ 100 yards with factory ammo. The best I've done has been 3/8" @ 100 after some lengthy round development. As you might have noticed, this particular American has been kitted out with a Bell and Carlson stock (1053_97) and a AICS box magazine well (0050_00). The Ruger stock was a flimsy piece of furniture; this B&C is much better, more stable, and wasn't particularly inexpensive. If I were to buy this rifle new, exactly as is, it's be a $1700 touch after tax. I'm willing to let it go for $1000, firm. You won't be disappointed.
