Selling/trading a Winchester Model 1892 in 44-40. Overall it's in fair shape but could use some work. 20" barrel, made in 1912. Steel is in fair shape, has some normal tarnishing and freckling, no real bluing left. Wood stocks are in good shape, looks to have been refinished and show well. Bore is in decent shootable shape, average condition considering its age. The hammer bolt looks to be epoxy'd into place in the receiver as the threads look to possibly be stripped. This causes the action to still be fireable even on half cock. The bolt doesn't stay in place properly and will need to be addressed. Sling loop on the underside of the butt is not original. Would make a great restoration piece or fix the action and shoot as is. Given its condition it will be sold as is with no warranty or guarantees. Looking for $850 shipped. Made by G [George] Bate a famous English gunmaker from Birmingham England. double triggers. double exposed hammers. 2.5 inch chambers. all the metal parts of the firearm are covered with delicate intricate engraving. the barrels appear to be Damascus steel. There is no serial number from the manufacturer. There is a serial number sticker from the Canadian Firearms Registry on the side of the receiver from when the firearm was registered under the now defunct long gun registry. all old firearms records for this gunmaker were destroyed in the 1940's when the factory was bombed in WWII. The gun was made between the 1890's and the 1920's. G Bate Maker, changed its name to G Bate Ltd in the 1920's. in the 1990's the name was changed to Bate & Cross [Gunmaker] Ltd. it has been well cared for. there is no rust and no pitting. the wooden stock has some scratches and dents but is not cracked. it has not been fire for many decades.

This is a budget friendly fixer upper Remington Model 1858 New Army revolver chambered for .44 caliber - price OBO. This revolver would have been born around the US Civil War, and based on level of wear probably saw use in the battle field before being harvested for parts at some point. Who knows what this revolver has seen in its long and resolute time on earth. Luckily it shows promise to be revived as parts still move freely and are not bound up. All required parts are available online, such as from Dixie Gun Works who accept international orders. By my judgement, this revolver has the following issues: Barrel: loosened 1/16th turn, missing front sight and loading lever catch. Gouge around circumference and a couple dents. Frame: Cylinder pin is undersized (should get a replacement), needs seating lever and trigger guard/trigger guard screw Action: Needs cylinder hand, trigger return spring, and mainspring Overall these parts all appear to be available online from several websites including Positives are that the hammer and trigger move very freely without evidence of rust, and that the cylinder stop, trigger, and hammer interface all seem correct so that with a trigger return spring, mainspring, and cylinder hand all should be able to resume action operation and lockup. Probably a new cylinder pin would be beneficial for this also. The hardwood (walnut) replacement grips are very sturdy and fit well. The rifling is still present and does not look too worn. The frame is in great shape, with an "antiqued" dark grey patina that shows no evidence of active pitting. Overall a promising revolver for repair for an opportunistic buyer to add value. This is a functional scarce and unique Antique Galand Model 1868 single and double action Revolver. Designed for 7 mm Perrin which gives it antique status, this revolver happens to accept the nearly identical .32 S&W short cartridge which can be reloaded at a low cost, and can even be made from cut down .32 S&W Long brass. There are very few antiques that will accept this caliber, so this is a lucky find. Unlike most antiques which are big and heavy, this is a small frame and compact revolver which still shoots a reliable round. Overall length is 7 inches. Mechanics are fair, with a working action in both single and double action. The hammer is strong and indexing is reliable. The rifling is still strongly defined down the 3" barrel, with evenly scattered patches of inactive oxidation from black powder use. The Galand patented mechanism involves a very unique lever which pulls the barrel and cylinder straight forward while ejecting spent shells. All components of this work fine. As a revolver that's a century and a half old, some wear and wiggle is evident in the lever and hinge mechanism, but it still works consistently and properly. Visually this revolver has an even gray/blue surface with some bits of lustre showing beyond the aged patina. No significant pitting is evident, though scattered dings and scratches are present. Selling to get some cash flow, this is an antique, all matching and fully operational Smith & Wesson top break double action new model #3 revolver. These were the first double action guns ever made by S&W, driven by demand to increase rapid performance at close quarters while still having the choice to shoot with more accuracy in single action. These were mostly chambered in the popular .44 Russian round. These can be purchased in cowboy loads from myself as part of the deal, found online, or easily reloaded with .44 russian, magnum, or special brass. As an antique, this handgun requires no licensing or registration to buy or own in Canada. Do your own legal research! This gun is serial number 35XXX, dating its manufacture to the late 1880s. As a nearly 140 year old gun, the mechanical condition is strong, with all three positions of the hammer exactly as desired and both single and double action trigger pulls nice and light. Indexing is reliable with a lockup of both the cylinder and the top break hatch having less than 1mm wiggle room. The original hard black grips are still sturdy and nice. The 6 inch barrel on this bad boy still has loads of accurate lead to deliver. Ejector functions perfectly. Visually, the overall look is a peppered patina. Very little of the original nickel remains, with a mottled "in the white" surface being most dominant. No severe or active oxidation can be found. All of the two line address and patent info are clearly visible on the top strap, with the S&W stylized logo featured strongly on the right side. For sale is my a mechanically great, all matching, 1880 production short barrel "Shopkeeper" Colt Thunderer in .41 LC. Selling because cash is tight. As an Antique, this handgun is exempt from Canadian licensing and registration requirements, and can be used anywhere a nonrestricted firearm would be legal. Black powder or light load smokeless .41 Long Colt rounds can be purchased online or worked into deal. The 1877 line of revolvers was Colt's first double action model ever produced. They made almost 170,000 from 1877 to 1909 with three main designations: the Colt "Lightning" in .38 LC, the "Thunderer" in .41 LC, and the "Rainmaker" in .32. However, due to Canada's laws, only the .41 caliber ones are designated as "antique". This is luckily one of those guns, and it needs no registration or licensing to own. These models are highly collectible handguns, particularly the short barrelled "Shopkeeper" model due to its easy to stow nature. Arizona Wild West gunslinger Doc Holiday carried one of these. This particular example, SN 22261, was produced rather early in 1880 and has a short but accurate 3.5" barrel. All parts match, and the exterior retains an excellent 85% of the original nickel. The internal mechanics are incredibly clean and original. The bore is fair with strong defined rifling. Grips are nice like-new repros with rampaging Colt medallions. All hammer clicks are present, lockup is rock solid, and the trigger pull is pleasant in both SA and DA. The barrel is stamped with the Hartford Connecticut Colt address and the acid etched "COLT D.A. 41" is still visible. The left side of the frame displays the 3 line 1871, 1874, and 1875 patents. It reads "41 CAL" on the trigger guard. This is an Antique Harpers Ferry U.S. Model 1842 Smoothbore Percussion Musket. The overall length is 57-3/4” with a 42” long barrel and coming in at just under 10 pounds. This is a .69 caliber musket. These were designed in 1842 and were produced from 1844 to 1855, with this one being made in 1849. There is a partially visible eagle over US forward of the hammer. Rear of the hammer is the markings HARPERS FERRY 1849. Inspection marks can be found on the barrel near the breech and on the trigger guard. Overall condition is very good with a low amount of handling dings and a small crack in the wood by the butt plate. Mechanically in excellent condition with a strong action. The Model 1842 was the first U.S. musket to be produced with a percussion lock. It had an effective range of 100-300 yards and a maximum range of 400 yards. The 1842 was the last U.S. regulation .69 caliber musket. Many of these muskets later had the bores rifled and saw service in the American Civil War. This would make a great addition to any antique collection of would even be suited as a stand alone piece. This is an antique so no PAL is required for purchase. Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action 38-55. Date 1909 The stock was varnished at some point. The wood on forearm and butt stock is very good with just some minor bangs from use. Original curved steel recoil butt plate is in place. The bluing on barrel, magazine and lever is approximately 75% and the receiver is < 10%. The metal is good but has some minor scratches, etc. and evidence of minor surface rusting. The non-load side of the received looks like course steel wool was used on it. Buck horn sights are in excellent condition and period correct. The barrel is 26” with a full magazine, and the muzzle looks good. Bore is polished & shiny and shows very minor past corrosion, probably from black powder use. Rifling is in good condition. Screws have been used but are in very good condition. All lettering and the serial number are crisp and clear. Operationally everything checks out. The trigger is good. The firing pin extends out when pushed, The cartridge lifter works well and the ejector is tight. Spring on loading port is tight. Half cock safety works and hold when bumped, when at full cock or fire ready the hammer does not fall when bumped. Overall, this firearm is graded as good. A good addition to any collection. *Sold* Parting with my Colt 1878 revolver. She's single and double action, chambered in .476 Eley which is interchangeable with .455 Webley. These revolvers were most commonly chambered in .44-40 Winchester and dubbed the "Frontier Model", with the .476 chambering being very scarce. They were introduced in 1878 as a larger frame, larger caliber twist on the new Colt 1877 Thunderer/Lightning model, filling a niche most similar to the 1873 Single Action Army, but this time in double action as well. Selling to clear up some moolah for car repairs. Pre-1898 Canada legal antique. This revolver was made in 1885. It has the desirable Pall Mall one line address on the barrel reading "COLT’S PT.F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. DEPOT 14. PALL MALL LONDON" with most words still visible. This address is a rarity and was only put on guns intended for the European markets. Serials match 15xxx, with the last 3 digits stamped on the cylinder. The loading gate is a replacement. This gorgeous revolver has an extremely nice black finish with shiny nickeled highlights on the hammer, trigger, and hammer screw. The visual condition speaks for itself. A stunning piece sure to catch eyes, and assurance that the metal will remain protected. The rifling is still strong and defined, showing some scattered frosting. The grips appear original, and are sturdy with minor holster wear on the high points from time on the hip. The action is great. The internals are shiny in factory condition. The cylinder locks up airtight at firing position. I have never seen an 1878 or 1877 with tighter lockup. In the unique fashion of the 1878 model design, this revolver has no cylinder stop allowing slight backrotation when you disengage the action, but it still generally cycles. The loading gate is a bit wobbly, contributing to backrotation.
