This is an authentic carbine, not simply a shortened rifle, and it includes all the correct components such as the 1901 Carbine rear sight, the C-marked front sight blade. The bore shows well-defined rifling, and the action operates smoothly and cleanly. While the stock has been refinished, it still bears the original 1900 cartouche and “P” proof mark, both clearly visible and matching its serial number range.
